Lydia Plath has been up to a bunch of new adventures since Welcome to Plathville season 3 finished airing. The oldest child to live under Kim and Barry Plath’s roof is making moves even if they are small steps to solidify a bit of independence. The third oldest daughter is trying out a few new ideas, and viewers are looking forward to seeing what pans out.

The 18-year-old is officially a legal adult, but she is still keeping her cards close to the chest regarding what is next in life. Lydia’s main love is her religion and Jesus. The TLC personality has often found solace in her faith during extremely difficult family times. She is known to be the most behaved of all the Plath children and hardly ever gave Kim and Barry pause for concern. Up until recently, Lydia’s most exciting getaway was to her prayer closest. However, lately, she has started to expand her ideas on what life could offer.

Lydia has actually been up to quite a lot since the TLC cameras stopped filming. She not only has created her own Instagram account but also has started venturing more outside her comfort zone. As the New Year rang in, Lydia’s followers noticed she was actually at a party held by her church to celebrate the holiday. During the first weekend of January, Lydia shared that, like her sister, Moriah Plath, she was going to be releasing her own music. On January 28, Lydia took to her new YouTube channel to debut her first single, “One With the Father.”

Along with growing musically, Lydia has also been seeing some new sights. She recently went to Tampa to visit Moriah. The two shared photos and videos of their reunion on Instagram, and they clearly enjoyed spending their time together as sisters. Lydia also jumped on the back of her older brother’s motorcycle for a quick backwoods drive. Most importantly, Lydia has been hanging out with more friends her own age since filming wrapped. She even celebrated her birthday with a party and wore pants.

Welcome to Plathville season 4 has yet to be given the green light, but viewers are hoping the show comes back. Many have watched each of the Plath children, including Lydia, grow over the past three seasons and would like to see what the future has in store for them. By the time cameras start rolling again, Lydia could quite possibly have a whole new set of friends and outlook on what she may want from her life.
