As the next update for the free-to-play RPG, Genshin Impact 2.3 will be released in November. Already, several leaks and rumors for Version 2.3 have surfaced online, giving players an idea of what to expect for the upcoming content. Here’s everything fans need to know about the Genshin Impact 2.3 release date, new playable characters, and what else may be arriving soon.

Although Genshin Impact 2.2 was only released earlier this month, many fans are already looking ahead to see what’s next. Developer and publisher miHoYo updates the game every six weeks, which keeps content fresh and players invested. The latest update brings Thoma to Genshin Impact 2.2, introduced the Labyrinth Warriors event, and features reruns for Tartaglia and Hu Tao. It’s been a relatively small update compared to some previous patches – which usually introduce multiple new characters – which may be why so many people are interested in Genshin Impact 2.3 already.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

The release date for Genshin Impact 2.3 is November 24, 2021. Depending on time zones and regions, some players may find the update going live on November 23 instead. This would put 2.3 exactly six weeks after 2.2 went live, thus keeping with miHoYo’s usual release date schedule. A beta test was held for Version 2.3 already, which means several leaks have already circulated online. Additionally, rumors about The Chasm being added have once again returned. So what should players expect to see in Genshin Impact 2.3?

Genshin Impact 2.3 Release Date: What To Expect In The Update

For now, a lot of attention is on the two new playable characters arriving in Genshin Impact‘s 2.3 update. Both Gorou and Arataki Itto are expected in Genshin Impact via the Version 2.3 patch. Both are Geo users with designs inspired by Japanese folklore (the Inzauma region itself is inspired by Japan as well). Both characters were revealed with additional info on official social media accounts, although those posts stopped short of confirming them for 2.3. Still, based on how miHoYo’s teased characters before, it’s practically a given that Gorou and Itto will both appear in the next update.

Additional leaks have pointed toward new skins being added to the game for characters like Ningguang. This means new events as well. Of course, the usual drops of new weapons, Artifacts, and Domains are expected, too. With Tsurumi Island in Version 2.2 being the last major area to open up for Inazuma, though, this could certainly mean a return to Liyue where The Chasm will finally open up. So far, however, none of this has been officially confirmed by miHoYo. Thankfully, fans shouldn’t have to wait too much longer with a livestream going over the new content, and Genshin Impact 2.3 releases on November 24, 2021.
