Whether they are playing for the first time or trying to 100% the game, fans of Halo Infinite‘s campaign will want to know how the interactive map works. Halo Infinite’s campaign launched separately from the multiplayer on December 8, finally letting fans continue the story of The Master Chief six years after the release of Halo 5: GuardiansInfinite is the sixth main entry into the Halo franchise, and the third Halo game developed by 343 industries.

Infinite is the biggest Halo game so far, with the campaign taking place on a large open-world map which is a first for the franchise. The new map is set on Zeta Halo, where Chief must uncover the mysteries of the Forerunners and stop The Banished army to save humanity again. Despite being an open world, the campaign’s story is linear and the missions cannot be replayed like the previous Halo games; however, there are lots of side-missions and collectibles to be found around the map as well.

Halo Infinite’s open world is full of collectibles and points of interest, and the new interactive map can help players find anything they are missing. This Halo Infinite interactive map is created by mapgenie.io and is currently listed as a work-in-progress. The map is a full recreation of the in-game Zeta Halo map and has markers for everything that can be found, including main story missions, forward operating bases, weapon and vehicle locations, Easter eggs, spartan cores, armor caches, audio logs, and all of Infinite’s skull locations.

How To Use The Halo Infinite Interactive Map

The interactive map for Halo Infinite can track a player’s progress in the campaign and track which collectibles and upgrades they have found. To enable the tracking feature, players will have to create a Map Genie account. Once they have done that, they can click on a marker on the map and select it as found. Then, the marker will fade out and stay hidden unless it is unchecked. There is also a sidebar option that allows users to mark everything in a single category, such as locations or spartan cores, in one go. There are also interactive maps for the multiplayer, some are still WIP, but the ones available show all of the locations for Halo Infinite’s multiplayer power weapons and equipment.

The interactive map for Halo Infinite is very useful for anyone playing the campaign and will give a competitive advantage to those playing multiplayer if they know where everything will spawn. It is cool to see fan-made support like this, but there are some things from the interactive map that could have been in the game itself. The in-game Zeta Halo map is good, but the ability to fade out or highlight whole categories would have been a useful addition that has appeared in other open-world games before. Halo Infinite‘s campaign was very successful, and fan-made tools like the interactive map help to make the experience more enjoyable for new and returning players.
