Where to Find Blood Flower in Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2 offers its players many collectibles to find throughout the world, including rare flora like the Blood Flower. With such a large map brimming with dangerous creatures and some suspicious folks, these collectibles can be hard to find without a starting point. Knowing the spawn locations of this flower will help players track it down more easily.

The Blood Flower in Red Dead Redemption 2 appears as a small cluster of foliage with a few orange flowers blooming at the top. This plant can be incredibly difficult to locate as it has limited spawn locations, similar to Red Sage, and can only be found at certain times of the day. Blood Flowers are only used as a collectible and have no crafting purposes.

The Blood Flower only spawns in the Bayou and swampland areas that surround Saint Denis, and only after dark. Players hoping to collect the Blood Flower will need to search prospective locations between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. in-game time. The time is displayed on a pocket watch at the top left of the screen while in the pause menu, and players can pull up their personal pocket watch anytime using the L1 item menu. Blood Flowers will most often spawn near the water’s edge, a potentially dangerous place for RDR2‘s horses.

Spawn Locations Of The Blood Flower In Red Dead Redemption 2

One location the Blood Flower can spawn at in Red Dead Redemption 2 is on a piece of land almost entirely surrounded by water. Situated just east of the ‘U’ in Bayou Nwa on the map. This location is straight south of the Lagras Settlement in the heart of Bayou Nwa. A second great spot to look for the Blood Flower is on one of the larger islands north of the Lagras Settlement. This island is in the northeast corner of the Lagras body of water, south of the ‘S’ in Bluewater Marsh.

The Blood Flower will also occasionally spawn on the largest of the small islands in the RDR2 Kamassa River. These islands are found at the southern edge of the river’s bend directly north of Caliga Hall. This spawn location is west of Saint Denis, and is a known hot spot for alligator activity.

One place the Blood Flower can spawn is particularly close to the city of Saint Denis, one place in RDR2 modeled from reality. This location is just across the Kamassa River from the boathouse on the western edge of the city. Northeast of the Prinz & Co. Meat Company, just past the train tracks, on a section of land that appears to have been recently deforested.
