Mortal Shell is filled with strange items and powerful upgrades. The Tarnished Seal upgrade in is one of the most important upgrades in the entire game. Players would be wise to focus on getting this upgrade as soon as possible. In order to do that, they will need to find and use the Forbidden Offering.

The Forbidden Offering is a pretty difficult item to obtain because it is hidden behind a gauntlet of tough enemies. This item is vitally important though, and is thus worth the struggle. Without it, gaining Resolve is much more difficult. Here’s how to find the Forbidden Offering in Mortal Shell.

Reaching the Obsidian Tower in Mortal Shell

From the main hub tower, leave out of the door at the base instead of heading upstairs. There will be a visible opening in the distance where the beast resides. Head directly toward the beast’s den to get on the right track. If players haven’t defeated the beast inside, this area may be difficult. The beast is fast and can usually stop the player from progressing. The best option is to kill it, but it can also be baited into the cave. This should give players enough time to run away.

After leaving the other side of the cave, take an immediate right and head into the small hole in the mountainside. After emerging, players will be faced with a slew of enemies. There are far too many to take at once, and running past them won’t usually yield the best results. Players should take their time and fight through these guys one by one. Keep in mind that doing this during a fog state will make this journey a lot harder.

Follow the path all the way around while avoiding the attacks from the archers. At the end of this path, there will be an archway of trees and rocks. Following that, the cliffside will open to reveal the Obsidian Tower in the distance.

Buying The Forbidden Offering In Mortal Shell

Players will need to follow the path all the way around to the base of the tower. When players reach the stairs to the tower, they should take a left instead of going up. If players enter the tower they won’t be able to reach this location, so stay outside and look for an opening in the pillars that line the yard. Inside there will be a merchant who sells the Forbidden Offering for 3000 Tar.
