Like fighting and stealth, hunting is an important game mechanic in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla. Throughout Valhalla, players will control Eivor, a Viking warrior who leads their people in battle to conquer the Saxons and take revenge against a warlord called Kjotve the Cruel. In addition to fighting and raiding, players can build up their settlement, begin a romance, and spend the days hunting and fishing. If they build the Hunter’s Hut on their settlement, they can receive great rewards for any animal products they bring in. There are dozens of creatures for players to hunt, including mythical beasts called Legendary Animals.

There are nine Legendary Animals for players to hunt, and they can earn XP, materials, and area mystery progress each time they defeat one. Once the player hunts all of them, they can also earn the Master Hunter Trophy/Achievement. In the Eurviscire region of England, players will come across the Blood Swine, a large, wild boar. Players can earn some fantastic rewards for hunting one. Like the other Legendary creatures, the head of the Blood Swine will be mounted on the wall of Eivor’s home at the settlement. Here’s how to find and defeat the Legendary Blood Swine in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla.

Where to Find The Legendary Blood Swine in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla

To find the Legendary Blood Swine, players will need to head to Eurviscire and enter Bleasby Swamp, northeast of Repton. Like other Legendary animals in Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, the Blood Swine can be found in a separate boss arena, marked with a blue paw print on the map. Entering the arena will trigger a fight with the Blood Swine.

It’s suggested players wait to find this creature until they have enough power. The Blood Swine is one of the highest-level Legendary Animals in Valhalla, so it is recommended players fall between a power level of around 260-310 before going after it to stand a chance.

The Blood Swine has two distinct moves: a charge, which it will perform as soon as Eivor arrives and sets foot in the arena, and a kick that throws a clod of dirt in Eivor’s face. Players will want to pay attention and learn the Blood Swine’s attack animations to be able to dodge, then counter-strike, and deliver a fatal blow.

Players will also want to navigate the arena well. It is covered in a layer of dense grasses and plants, which can be a hindrance as the player engages the Blood Swine in a fight. Still, it’s a good idea for the player to keep moving to make sure the pig’s charges don’t end with a blow.

Players will receive the Skratii Head schematic and about 101 Leather materials after defeating this wild boar. They will also earn XP, possibly pick up a few Skill Points, and unlock a Eurviscire Mystery.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla is available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X, and Xbox One.
