Where can Jay And Silent Bob Reboot be found online, and is it on Netflix, Hulu or Prime? Clerks was written and directed by Kevin Smith on a tiny budget and became a cult hit thanks to its richly drawn characters and witty dialogue. It also introduced the world to slacker duo Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (played by Smith himself), who became recurring characters through much of the director’s’ work, including Chasing Amy and Dogma. They also made a cameo in 2000’s Scream 3, which must make the Scream franchise a part of Smith’s View Askewniverse.

Smith’s first movie to not feature the pair was 2004 romantic comedy Jersey Girl starring Ben Affleck, but they later returned for Clerks 2. Every time it might seem like the dynamic duo are retired Smith later dusts them off for another round, and they will likely return for upcoming projects like Clerks III and Mallrats II.

Jay And Silent Bob Reboot was the first movie focused on the pair following 2001’s Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back. The story sees them setting out to stop a new movie based on the Bluntman And Chronic comic, and is loaded with cameos from past Smith’s performers, including Matt Damon, Rosario Dawson and Justin Long, in addition to newcomers like Val Kilmer and Chris Hemsworth. The biggest cameo comes from Ben Affleck reprising his role as Chasing Amy’s Holden, which marked a reunion for the actor and director after a period of estrangement in real-life.

Jay And Silent Bob Reboot is available from several platforms and while it’s not currently available on Netflix or Hulu, it can be found on Prime. The movie is also available to rent or purchase from prices starting at $3.99 from DirecTV, Google Play, YouTube, Redbox, iTunes, Vudu and the Mircosoft Store.

Kevin Smith is set to follow-up Jay And Silent Bob Reboot with the upcoming horror anthology Kilroy Was Here, based on the graffiti symbol of the same name. While the director is best known for comedy, he’s stepped outside the genre a few times, including directing intense siege thriller Red State and horror movie Tusk, starring Justin Long as a man who is kidnapped and surgically transformed into a walrus. Smith recently revealed a sequel idea to the latter where Long’s character breaks free of his walrus suit and programming but ends up attempting to recreate his trauma on others. Despite this pitch, there don’t appear to be any current plans to make the sequel.
