The Ripley’s Believe It Or Not TV show is a must-see for fans of the weird and wonderful, but where is the Bruce Campbell hosted series streaming online and is it available to watch with Netflix, Hulu or Prime? Created by cartoonist and curator of the bizarre Robert Ripley, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not dates back to 1918 and started life as a newspaper panel with a focus on unusual facts or strange events. Over the years it’s grown into a multimedia franchise that’s spawned radio shows, comic books and a chain of museums that are dotted across the globe.

The franchise also includes several TV shows. The first Ripley’s Believe It Or Not TV show premiered in 1949 and was originally hosted by Robert Ripley himself until his death that same year. The series was later revived in the 1980s by ABC with Oscar-winning actor Jack Palance as host. A second revival arrived on TBS in 2000 and was hosted by Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman star Dean Cain but was canceled in 2003 after four seasons.

Ripley’s Believe It Or Not isn’t available to watch with Netflix or Hulu but Prime has the show’s first season in full. However, Prime subscribers will need the Discovery+ add-on to watch the series which costs an additional $4.99 (ad-supported version) or $6.99 (ad-free version) per month. The 2019 Ripley’s Believe It Or Not TV show is also available to watch directly through the Discovery+ streaming platform for subscribers in select regions including the UK, Denmark and India.

There have been several attempts to make a movie based on Ripley’s Believe It Or Not‘s Robert Ripley in recent years. Various talents have been attached to the Paramount-helmed project including directors Tim Burton and Chris Columbus, while actors like Johnny Depp and Jim Carrey have been rumored to be taking on the title role. Unfortunately, the film remains in development hell but here’s hoping the Travel Channel’s Ripley’s Believe It Or Not TV show gets another season.
