Per this description, it’s easy to fit the characters from the hit show The Big Bang Theory into each of the nine personality types. Thus, viewers who know their own Enneagram type will identify with one of these beloved and quirky characters, strengthening their bond to the show and maybe understanding a bit more about themselves.

9 The Reformer – Beverly Hofstadter

Reformers are “the rational and idealistic type.” They are perfectionistic to a fault, principled, and self-controlled. Above all, Reformers value balance and have a strong sense of right and wrong.

Leonard’s mother, Beverly Hofstadter, exhibits strong Reformer qualities, although she could easily be an Investigator. Helpers like Raj want to feel loved; they’ll act unselfishly, unconditionally loving others through the darkest times. However, they can also deal with insecurity issues that might lead them to become possessive.

7 The Achiever – Priya Kootrappali

Success-oriented and pragmatic, Achievers are adaptable and driven. They crave recognition and constantly chase a feeling of worthiness. Achievers often excel in whatever they’re doing, thanks to their competence and energy.

Raj’s sister, Priya, is the best example of an Achiever. She is a highly successful lawyer capable of beating Sheldon in his own game. Priya is arguably Leonard’s best match; she is self-assured, charming, and attractive, pushing Leonard to be the best version of himself. Achievers are highly driven, diplomatic, and poised. However, they can also be overly concerned with their looks and other people’s opinions, leading them to become overly competitive.

The Individualist is expressive, dramatic, self-absorbed, and temperamental. They fear being basic or incapable of standing out, leading them to constantly find their purpose and significance.

The Big Bang Theory‘s best example of an Individualistic type is Penny. She is very creative and emotional, unafraid to be the center of attention. People like Bernie love winning and will go out of their way to do so; at their best, Challengers can inspire others, becoming role models and changing lives for the better. They only need to control their temper and keep their more self-serving behaviors in check.

1 The Peacemaker – Stuart Bloom

The Peacemaker is “the easygoing, self-effacing type.” They are complacent and agreeable, fearing loss and separation more than anything. They desire peace of mind and seek it by avoiding conflict and tension.

This type fits Stuart Bloom to a tee. Big Bang fans often rooted for Stuart, who was always down on his luck. Although he was artistically gifted and self-employed, Stuart’s life was hard and mired with financial and personal issues. Still, Stuart was kind, loyal, eager to belong, and a great friend all-around. People like Stuart will be the best of friends, often putting other people’s needs before their own.
