Which episode of Teen Titans Go! does NBA legend LeBron James cameo in? The Teen Titans comic debuted in the 1960s and follows the titular group of young superheroes. Like the Justice League, the lineup of the Titans has varied greatly over the years, though its most famous members include the likes of Robin, Cyborg and Raven. One of the most popular iterations came with Cartoon Network’s Teen Titans show, which lasted for five seasons before coming to an end in 2006.

Spinoff show Teen Titans Go! landed on Cartoon Network in 2013, and takes a much wackier, goofier approach in terms of tone and style. Those who loved the original series are mixed on this approach but Teen Titans Go! is clearly doing something right, as it’s lasted for over 300 episodes. It proved popular enough to receive a theatrical feature with the well-received Teen Titans Go! To The Movies in 2018 while Teen Titans Go! Vs Teen Titans pit both Cartoon Network iterations against each other.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Pretty much everything on Teen Titans Go! is done with tongue lodged firmly in cheek, which is why it has a big fanbase. One such fan is NBA legend LeBron James, who was invited to guest star during season 3. James appears as himself during the episode “The Cruel Giggling Ghoul,” where the gang head to an amusement park to see an exhibition of the star dribbling a basketball before they get sucked into a mystery.

Teen Titans Go!’s “The Cruel Giggling Ghoul” is also a parody of Scooby-Doo, with the Titans standing in for the Mystery Inc gang, with Raven as Velma, Cyborg as Shaggy and so on. LeBron James pops up occasionally to talk about topics like his favorite snack or wanting to dress up as a mascot, though he always seems to get quickly bored and wanders away with his catchphrase “dribble dribble dribble.” The main conflict is with the giggling ghoul itself, which is a two-headed creature with a distinctive laugh that chases the gang around the park.

In keeping with the Scooby-Doo structure, “The Cruel Giggling Ghoul” ends with the reveal of who’s really behind the mask. LeBron James didn’t get much to do in his Teen Titans Go! cameo but it’s clear he was having a blast doing it. His next acting gig will be playing himself once again in the long-awaited sequel to Space Jam, with Space Jam: A New Legacy currently set to hit cinemas in 2021.
