Members of Slytherin are academics, they are ambitious, cunning, and they are very logical thinkers. They often get a bad reputation because figures like Voldemort and Draco Malfoy proudly wear their Slytherin colors, but the house is so much more.

Slytherin has had other prominent figures that have made a huge difference in the Harry Potter world based on their own wits and personality. Let’s find what Slytherin shares your Zodiac sign.

13 Regulus Black – Cancer

In both the books and novels, we never really get to meet Sirius Black’s younger brother, due to his unfortunate death just a few years before Harry was born. Unlike Sirius, Regulus was a very committed son, looking to make his parents proud and even joining Slytherin and making the pure-blood Black family proud by willingly joining Voldemort at 16. When he sees that Voldemort is truly evil, he attempts to change his allegiance and destroy the Dark Lord’s Horcrux before he is killed.

Although we don’t see a lot of him, he sees a young man committed to his family, a strong-willed individual willing to stand up for what he believes in, all signs of a Cancer.

12 Merlin – Aquarius

Yes, we’re talking about the Merlin that fought alongside the great King Arthur. Merlin actually exists in the Harry Potter world and is a strong advocate of humans and wizards working together. Given the time he went to school, that type of mindset was unheard of, making him a true innovator when he founded the Order of Merlin.

As someone who is tolerant of other points of view, a dominant wizard (arguably the strongest wizard of all time), and as someone who has a tolerance for everyone, Merlin is a true Aquarius.

Not much is known about the Bloody Baron other than the fact he roams the halls of Hogwarts as a hot-tempered ghost and that he was once a Slytherin. As a hotheaded, stubborn man with a love for beauty, the Bloody Baron is a true Taurus. Tauruses often get a bad reputation for being hot-tempered and stubborn but they also value the good things in life, like beauty and riches.

10 Horace Slughorn – Leo

Professor Slughorn is a very interesting character and one that most fans don’t know was in Slytherin during his time at Hogwarts. He’s eccentric, popular, and he loves being surrounded by like-minded individuals, literally starting his own club of his favorite students.

As the son of Harry Potter, Albus had a lot of expectations before he was even old enough to go to Hogwarts. Unlike his rebellious and outspoken father, Albus preferred to be out of the spotlight, showing to be more shy and awkward.

as a passionate and ruthless witch, Bellatrix is a Scorpio. She’s passionate about the ones she loves, she’s unpredictable, and she’s extremely volatile to her enemies. She’s only loyal to Voldemort, seemingly even having a child with him.

6 Lucius Malfoy – Saggitarius

Meeting Lucius Malfoy, you quickly see why Draco grew up to be the arrogant, little bully that we grew to hate to love. Like his son, Lucius is arrogant and close-minded, looking down on those he deems as less than him and showing off his rich history any chance he gets.

Like Lucius, Sagittarius’ are perfectionist, demanding perfection for his family and his fellow death eaters, when he doesn’t get what he wants, everyone feels his rage. He marries his fellow classmate and only has one child, making him practical and controlling.

5 Narcissa Malfoy – Libra

4 Severus Snape – Capricorn

If there is any Slytherin that embodies their zodiac, it’s the disgruntled potions professor, Severus Snape. Capricorns tend to be stubborn and condescending, always serious, and never having any time for fooling around.

Snape seems to check all the boxes of a true Capricorn, even being born on January 5th, right in the middle of Capricorn season.

3 Draco Malfoy – Gemini

If there is any character in both the books and movies that had a more complex character arc, its Draco Malfoy. Starting off the series as a stuck up bully for Harry, he grew into a more sinister, devoted antagonist before regretting his actions and somewhat redeeming himself at the end.

His complicated emotions, his constant change of personality, and his ambitions all make him a true Gemini. Add in the fact that he was born June 5th, Draco defines the zodiac Gemini.

2 Tom Riddle/Voldemort – Aries

Aries have a habit of being the first in everything, combining their ambitions and social nature to make great leaders. Although Voldemort wasn’t someone you could necessarily look up to, you have to admire Tom Riddle’s commitment to learning everything and becoming the best wizard he could be.

As a young man, Tom made a name for himself and once he became the powerful wizard, he had the charisma and manipulation skills to build a group of followers, willing to do anything for him. As a true Aries, Voldemort is highly motivated once he sets his mind, literally willing to kill just to deal with his Horcruxes.
