Spider-Man has three popular franchises, and every die-hard fan of this superhero certainly has their preference when it comes to their favorite guy in the suit. Of course, these movies are filled with villains and heroes, and some of these actors might be a bit better at actually becoming Spider-Man in real life!

In case fans are curious which of these actors, villains and Spider-Mans included, have actually done their own stunts – there’s no reason to wonder any longer. From Tom Holland’s gymnastic background to Andrew Garfield’s eagerness, there are a lot of stunts to be done by these actors.

10 Andrew Garfield: Did A Lot Of His Own Stunts

Andrew Garfield is a young and skilled actor that does most of his own stunts that appear in the film. Again, he has a stunt double, but Garfield has been photographed multiple times in the air and doing some pretty interesting tricks!

He’s not a stuntman, but he was more than eager to give everything a try. He deserves some more applause for doing some of his own stunts.

9 Emma Stone: Did The (Minimal) Stunts

Emma Stone plays Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man franchise, and while she doesn’t have any superpowers or cool suits, she does actually participate in a few action scenes.

Stone says it was never anything crazy, but she did get to do the stunts that involved her character. It’s not gymnastics or parkour, but she still held her own.

8 Tobey Maguire: Did A Lot Of His Own Stunts

It turns out that all three of these popular Spider-Mans actually do most of their own stunts. In fact, Tobey Maguire even completed the iconic tray scene – and it only took about 156 takes.

However, he did perform many of the stunts featured in the film, but certainly took a step back for his stunt double to do some more complicated ones. But Maguire does deserve some credit, and will always be the original Peter Parker.

7 Topher Grace: Did Some Of His Own Stunts

The cast of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man franchise has been pretty open about their stunts and filming, and actually, most of them did the bulk of their own tricks and stunts.

However, these men have been more than honest in admitting that they can’t do it all, especially for a thin-framed actor like Topher Grace. Still, he actually does a lot of Eddie Brock’s weird tricks.

6 Alfred Molina: Didn’t Risk It

The actor that brought Doc Ock to life was more than comfortable taking a step back and letting the professional stunt actors do the dirty work.

While most of the actors on this list dabbled in some stunts, Molina was more than open about the fact that he didn’t. He’s an actor, after all, and let the stuntmen do their job well.

5 Willem Dafoe: Did Most Of His Own Stunts

At the time, this iconic actor was 47-years-old, but he refused to sit back and let his stuntman do all the work. Reportedly, he did nearly 90% of his own stunts!

It’s obvious that Dafoe is one of the best actors in Hollywood, and he certainly earns some more respect for actually trying (and succeeding) at doing his own stunts in one of his most popular roles.

4 James Franco: Did A Lot Of His Own Stunts

James Franco was Harry Osborn before he was the comedic legend that he is today, and he actually performed a lot of his own stunts during the many action sequences of the film.

Franco was pretty up front in an interview about some injuries, and that the stuntmen are clearly there for a reason. Still, he participated hands-on in a lot of scenes.

3 Bryce Dallas Howard: Did The Main Action Scene Stunt

In the third flick, where Bryce Dallas Howard plays Gwen Stacy, fans will remember the peak action scene where the building is collapsing. Howard was more than willing to do her own stunt, and so did it!

However, she also didn’t know that she was actually pregnant at the time. Thankfully, everything was fine, and it just proves she’s even more of a tough cookie.

2 Tom Holland: Did Most Of His Own Stunts

The newest and youngest man to wear the suit is the lovable and quirky Tom Holland. While he modestly claims he doesn’t do all the stunts, he definitely does most of them.

He does have a stunt double, but this gymnast and agile actor is more than capable of actually becoming Spider-Man on the big screen, and fans can definitely appreciate all the skills he brings to the table.

1 Michael Keaton: Did Some Of His Own Stunts

Michael Keaton was no newbie to the big screen when he joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming to play the Vulture. He worked closely with his stunt team to nail the action sequences, and he performed a lot of it!

However, Keaton himself was pretty open, and funny, about how he couldn’t do it all, and couldn’t be quite as good as the stuntmen hired for the job.
