Will Ferrell got his start in comedy at The Groundlings improv theater in Hollywood, where he was discovered by a Saturday Night Live producer. That producer approached Ferrell after an improv show and asked him to audition for Lorne Michaels. Ferrell joined the cast of Saturday Night Live in 1995 and stayed on as a cast member for seven years.

SNL launched Will Ferrell’s career and has allowed the comedian to work consistently both in television and film ever since. Will Ferrell has starred in and produced numerous comedies over the last decade and has become a staple in the world of funny films.

12 Aquarius: Elf

People born under the Aquarius signs are very kind people and always ready to lend a helping hand or cheer up a friend in need. Aquarians are humanitarians and love being able to lift up the people around them and build a strong community of support.

Will Ferrell’s character Buddy in the Christmas classic, Elf, has all of the characteristics of an Aquarius in the holiday spirit.

11 Pisces: Step Brothers

Pisces are artistic, gentle, and wise, and they love making music. In the comedy hit Step Brothers, Will Ferrell plays Brennan, a kind, though somewhat immature man, who still lives at home with his mom and is clearly a Pisces.

Brennan lets his new step-brother, Dale walk all over him a little bit in the beginning, but these two are able to eventually find common ground and even bond over their shared love of music.

10 Aries: Talladega Nights

Aries folks are courageous and enjoy activities where they can rely on their own skills and perform solo tasks. Some would say that a race car driver is a good example of a person born under the Aries sign, which is why Talladega Nights, another comedy starring Will Ferrell and John C. Riley, is an Aries-type movie.

The fact that Aries are natural-born leaders and Ferrell’s character Ricky Bobby leads with style and grace is another reason why this film resonates with Aries.

9 Taurus: Zoolander

A Taurus person loves the finer things in life, especially when it comes to their clothing. Taurus folks are known to have high standards for what they wear and they hate being put in synthetic fabrics.

Only the finest silks will do for a Taurus and for Jacobim Mugatu, Will Ferrell’s character in the early 2000’s hit, Zoolander. Taurus also tend to be a more insecure sign, something all the characters in this film can relate to.

8 Gemini: Blades Of Glory

Geminis love performing and tend to gravitate towards careers that allow them to be in the spotlight because they don’t do well in a repetitive daily routine. Geminis are also a very nervous sign, so though they love to perform, they are also known to crack under pressure.

Blades of Glory tells the tale of two male figure skaters fighting for a chance to get back into the spotlight. These men must be Geminis due to their abilities to adapt and their quick-wit.

7 Cancer: Daddy’s Home

Cancers love spending time with friends and family, and when given the choice between going out or staying in, they tend to choose to stay home and enjoy quality time with the people they love the most.

A film like Daddy’s Home, starring Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, is the perfect film for Cancers and it seems as though, most of the characters in this film fall under this sign because of the way they love the matriarch in the family and spending time together.

6 Leo: Anchorman

Leos love to be admired. People born under this sign are naturals in front of the camera and in the spotlight, and love that kind of attention.

Leos also enjoy spending time with their friends and when you make friends with a Leo, you’re in that friendship for the long haul. Leos are loyal and funny, which describes the entire cast of Anchorman very well.

5 Virgo: Megamind

They are also very detail-oriented and take time to perfect every task they have.

4 Libra: Holmes And Watson

Libras are a very diplomatic type. They like to know the facts and make very clear-headed decisions at all times. They are also very social people and enjoy being around groups of people, especially if those people are admiring them and their talents.

The classic character, Sherlock Holmes is definitely a Libra, which is why Will Ferrell’s adaptation of the classic titled Holmes and Watson is a very Libra-friendly film.

3 Scorpio: Wedding Crashers

Scorpios are the most stubborn sign in the astrological chart. They tend to be very stuck in their ways, so much so, it could stunt their growth and make growing up a little bit difficult.

Will Ferrell’s character Chazz, in the Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn hit, Wedding Crashers could serve as a cautionary tale to Scorpios. It’s great to have longterm friendships as long as those friends are able to grow together, which Chazz proves unable to do in this buddy comedy.

2 Sagittarius: Old School

Sagittarius need their freedom because they need to explore the world in order to understand themselves better. No one craves freedom more than Ferrell’s character, Frank, in 2003’s Old School.

This movie is also perfect for Sagittarius who embrace their flaws, like, their impatience, their tendency to promise more than they can deliver, and their ability to say anything regardless of how offensive it is, which are all traits that summarize this film pretty well.

1 Capricorn: Semi-Pro

People born under the Capricorn sign are very responsible and respect tradition. Capricorns are very independent people and find success when they rely on themselves and their own skills and talents.

Jackie Moon, the lead character in the Will Ferrell comedy, Semi-Pro is definitely a Capricorn and that is probably why he is able to succeed, despite some of his less intelligent or misguided choices throughout the film.
