Who Killed Sara? ended its explosive first season by answering many of the show’s mysteries. However, for every one question answered, two more were raised. The drama surrounding the Lazcano family won’t stop any time soon, especially after the reveal of César’s criminal life. Plus, with his children now actively working against him, the patriarch won’t have it easy going forward.

Season two of the show will premiere on May 19, meaning fans won’t have to wait long before they get some answers. But, what questions will be answered when it comes back, and which ones received a proper conclusion at the end of season one?

10 Answered: Eloy’s Fate

Elroy, the Lazcano’s faithful right-hand man, spends half the season in a hospital bed, fighting for his life. Over the course of the show, many of his secrets come to light, like the fact he killed both his parents as a child. He also possibly had a relationship with the Lazcano matriarch, Mariana.

The final episode reveals that Mariana sent Elroy to cut the parasails’ ropes, although he eventually confesses he couldn’t do it. In the episode’s final scenes, Mariana watches as Elroy collapses in the hospital, and the show strongly hints that she killed him.

9 Pending: What Will Happen To Chema And Lorenzo?

The first season ends badly for Chema and Lorenzo. The latter wants to leave Mexico and raise their child away from the Lazcanos. The former wants to stay and fight, probably because he has many secrets he wants to protect. They have a huge fight and end things on bad terms.

Their relationship will face even more challenges due to the presence of Clara, their surrogate. Not only is her ex-boyfriend a violent and dangerous man, but she’s also keeping her own secrets. She may also be attracted to one or both of the guys, which will only make things trickier.

8 Answered: Elisa’s Uncertain Future

Elisa, the youngest of the Lazcanos, began the season with plans to take a scholarship in Madrid. She apparently wanted to go through with it, even after starting her affair with Alex. The revelation of her father’s prostitution ring, however, changed her mind.

Elisa faces her father and expresses her disapproval for her actions. She also confesses she’s in love with Alex and makes it clear that she will not leave Mexico. She also hints that she’ll work with Alex to bring César down, and she absolutely meant it.

7 Pending: The Mysterious New Diary

One of the episode’s biggest twists is the reveal of another of Sara’s diaries, hidden behind a wall in Alex’s house. The diary is full of disturbing images and thoughts that reveal the sad truth of Sara’s mental health.

Season two will surely deal with the diary’s contents, and future episodes will also likely go deeper into Sara’s world, revealing her struggles and how she handled them.

6 Answered: Rodolfo And Sofía’s Separation

The marriage between Rodolfo Lazcano and Sofia was always unstable. He is clearly still in love with Sara, and all she seems to care about is having another child. She was also cheating on Rodolfo with his own father, and, near the end of the season, she becomes pregnant with César’s child.

Rodolfo immediately knows the baby isn’t his because he has a vasectomy. Once Chema tells everyone about Sofia’s affair with César, her marriage to Rodolfo is all but over. In the final episode, Rodolfo asks her to leave his house, confirming the ending of their contemptuous storyline.

5 Pending: Nicandro’s Role In The Mystery

One of the more mysterious characters in the show is Nicandro. He is present during Sara’s accident and was apparently a close friend of Rodolfo and Alex. However, he doesn’t come up in the conversations, and Alex doesn’t think of him as a suspect.

The final episode reveals that Nicandro shared an intimate moment with Sara on her last day alive, so perhaps the two had a special relationship. Nicandro is seemingly dead by the time Alex gets out of jail, but there might be more to the story.

4 Answered: Who Wanted Sara Dead?

The show makes it clear that Sara had no shortage of enemies. After Elroy told her that Sara slept with César, Mariana wanted to kill the girl. She even put her plan in motion, but Elroy couldn’t go through with it.

Sergio also wanted her dead because she knew about his cruelty and murderous instincts. Plus, César wanted their affair to remain a secret. All of them could’ve cut the parasail’s ropes. Perhaps the show will take a note from Murder on the Orient Express and have them all be the killer.

3 Pending: The Grave In Alex’s Garden

Season one ends with the completely bonkers reveal that there’s a body buried in Alex’s garden. To complicate things, Sara apparently knew about it, as she drew the grave’s location and hid it in her secret diary.

There’s also a brief scene of César shooting at someone, a crime that Sara perhaps witnessed. Perhaps she helped César hide the body? Or maybe he blackmailed her into helping him? Regardless of the truth, it’s clear that Sara, had more secrets than anyone dared imagine.

2 Answered: Who Is Diana The Huntress?

For most of the season, Alex receives the help of a mysterious figure known only as Diana the Huntress. She knows secrets about the Lazcanos and Sara’s death but refuses to give Alex more information.

During the final episode, the show seemingly reveals that Marifer, Sara’s friend who also had a one-night stand with Alex as a teenager, is Diana the Huntress. Her friendship with Sara ended on bad terms, and season two promises to go deeper into their complicated relationship.

1 Pending: Who Killed Sara?

The question that lies in the heart of the show remains unanswered. Fans know Mariana wanted Sara dead and sent Elroy to do her dirty work. However, he was unable to do it—or so he said. Perhaps someone else in the house overheard the plan and actually went through with it?

Sara’s mysterious new journal could provide the missing pieces to complete the puzzle. Maybe every member of the Lazacano family is somehow involved, even Rodolfo. Or perhaps it was none of them, and there was someone else present that day in Valle de Bravo. Whatever the answer, fans will continue unraveling the mystery once the show returns for its second season.
