Here’s the cast line-up for Whose Line Is It Anyway? season 16. Whose Line Is It Anyway? is an improv comedy series that started life as a UK radio show in the 1980s. Co-created by Dan Patterson and Mark Leveson, the radio version featured Clive Anderson as host while Stephen Fry (Jeeves And Wooster) and the late John Sessions were part of the cast. The show later moved to Channel 4 in 1988, retaining Clive Anderson as host, with the setup featuring a panel of comedians tasked with improvising hilarious comedy based on scenarios from the host or audience.

Whose Line Is It Anyway? proved immensely popular and ended up running for over a decade before ending in 1999. The concept was also ported over to the U.S., with ABC’s take on Whose Line Is It Anyway? debuted in 1998. This take was hosted by Drew Carey and was a big hit with American audiences, and ultimately ran for eight seasons. After a few years off the air, the series was revived on The CW, this time with Aisha Tyler (Archer) replacing Carey as host.

The format of Whose Line Is It Anyway? once again proved its value, as this revived version has also run for eight seasons thus far. Here’s the regular and recurring cast of season 16.

Ryan Stiles

It’s kind of hard to imagine Whose Line Is It Anyway? without comedian Ryan Stiles as part of the cast at this stage. Stiles was a major part of the UK version and appeared in over half its 136 episodes. He later joined the ABC version before returning for the 2013 CW revival. Outside of the show, he’s probably best known as Dr. Herb from Two And A Half Men.

Colin Mochrie

Like Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie is another Whose Line Is It Anyway? vet, and joined the UK version in 1991. He stayed with the original show until it ended and later joined both the ABC and The CW versions. He’s also got quite a prolific CV outside of the series, with credits that include Jackie Chan action-comedy The Tuxedo and Murdoch Mysteries.

Wayne Brady

Wayne Brady made his Whose Line Is It Anyway? debut on a few episodes of the UK version in 1998, before later become a major part of the ABC and CW series. Brady is also an actor, singer and host, with other notable projects including Let’s Make A Deal, Black Lightning and The Masked Singer.

Gary Anthony Williams

Actor and comedian Gary Anthony Williams has been a recurring guest performer on Whose Line Is It Anyway? since it arrived on The CW, and has appeared many times throughout season 16. Williams also voiced Mustafa in The Lion Guard and Bebop in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows.

Jeff B. Davis

Another recurring face on Whose Line Is It Anyway? season 16 is Jeff B. Davis, who is also known for co-hosting improv comedy podcast Harmontown with Dan Harmon.
