ABC’s Bachelor In Paradise is moving to Tuesday nights, rather than airing on both Monday and Tuesday, as it has in previous weeks. The move is just one of many the franchise, which has historically aired on Monday nights, was forced to make this year. Previously, ABC had to part ways with longtime franchise host Chris Harrison after he made the highly problematic decision to defend former contestant Rachael Kirkconnell to former Bachelorette and current entertainment news host, Rachel Lindsay. Since then, Chris has issued a formal apology to Rachel, fans, and Bachelor Nation at large.

Moving forward with the seventh season of Bachelor In Paradise, ABC is replacing the void of Chris with rotating celebrity hosts. Thus far, viewers have watched David Spade, Lance Bass, and Tituss Burgess host the show, taking time out of their busy schedules to fly down to Mexico, shake things up, and provide advice when all goes wrong. Lil Jon, who has been narrating the entire season, will finally be hitting the beach next to get the party started with the remaining couples.

Bachelor In Paradise‘s move from Monday nights to Tuesday nights is due to ABC’s upcoming schedule of shows. Monday Night Football temporarily took the reality TV spot on September 13. ABC’s hit dancing series, Dancing With The Stars, will take over the coveted spot after that. Furthermore, season 18 of The Bachelorette, which will follow Michelle Young’s journey to find love, will begin on October 19 and continue to air every Tuesday thereafter throughout her season.

In a sneak peek of the Tuesday, September 15 episode, Bachelor In Paradise‘s official Twitter account released a clip of contestant Tammy Ly basically having the worst birthday ever. The ABC star is left dealing with the aftermath of her man and franchise bad-boy Thomas Jacobs going on a date with former Bachelorette and current BIP contestant, Becca Kufrin. In an attempt to save her relationship, Tammy reveals her strong feelings towards Thomas, admitting he’s her best friend. Though it’s her birthday, Thomas is honest in not feeling the same way. “I don’t want to steer you on in any way, because that’s not who we are,” he responded. “I had feelings for someone else last night, and I didn’t feel guilty about it.”

Though Bachelor Nation will now have to re-schedule their Monday date nights with ABC, it looks like the move won’t affect the juicy upcoming drama. Plus, sometimes change is the best thing a girl can ask for. For example, it seems like Bachelor In Paradise fans are loving the rotating guest hosts over quick appearances from Chris. Only time will tell what the franchise will switch up next.

Bachelor In Paradise airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
