Following his MCU debut in Eternals, Black Knight could make his second appearance in Marvel’s Moon Knight show. Though Dane has no confirmed movie or TV roles after Eternals, the movie’s teases for his future made it clear that Marvel has every intention to use the character again. When that will happen, though, remains to be seen.

Played by Game of Thrones star Kit Harington, Dane Whitman was positioned to evolve into his comic counterpart in Eternals’ post-credits scene. Coming into possession of the Ebony Blade was the first step toward turning Sersi’s human boyfriend into the sword-wielding Avenger from Marvel Comics. The second step could occur in one of Marvel’s upcoming Phase 4 installments. Rather than immediately give him his own show, Marvel could have Dane show up in some of its other movies and shows. One of the most obvious places for Dane to turn up next is Blade, since Mahershala Ali’s character has just formed a connection to him. However, the wait for his return may not be quite that long.

Dane Whitman could wind up being a surprise addition to Moon Knight for a number of reasons. First of all, the two characters crossing paths isn’t an unlikely scenario. The Moon Knight trailer confirmed that the series will be set at least partially in London, which is where Dane lives. Investigating the Egyptian god who gave him his powers – Khonsu – could go a long way toward putting him in the proximity of Dane. As someone who works as a historian at the Natural History Museum, Dane certainly feels like a character that Marc may meet on his journey. After all, the trailer did show him looking around in a historical museum, so a cameo from him doesn’t seem unfeasible at all.

If this were to happen, Marc and Dane Whitman could be united by a common dilemma. Both presumably started out as seemingly normal humans, but have now found themselves drawn into ancient mysteries with deep mystical connections. Extensive research into the past may be a solution that’s sought out by both characters. Dane, who could likely relate to Marc’s problems, might be willing to help him find some answers in a Moon Knight episode. As for how the show would approach Dane’s situation, it could drop some more hints, but save the details for a Black Knight-focused project.

With both Black Knight and Moon Knight being characters who fit into the mystical side of the MCU, intersection between their worlds would make a great deal of sense. As a troubled hero who possesses a magically cursed sword that causes bloodlust, the MCU’s Black Knight would seamlessly fit into the world of Moon Knight, a brutal vigilante who serves as the super-powered champion of an Egyptian deity. Depending on what happens in Moon Knight, their meeting could eventually lead to an exciting superhero team-up in a future MCU installment.
