Diana Prince aka Diana, princess of Themyscira aka Wonder Woman is one of the best DC female superheroes and superheroes in general. That is saying a lot, considering that the DC universe is filled with amazing characters. Wonder Woman has been around since 1941, so she’s incredibly 79 years old!

She’s changed a lot during her existence, fought multiple villains, saved thousands of lives… and she also found time to make some friends, and yes, also enemies. Even though Diana is genuinely likable and kind, there are still some DC heroes who despise her… but also those who respect her and stand by her side.

10 Despises: Cheetah

Cheetah is mostly a villain, but she started out as a good guy and she still occasionally helps Diana out when they face a bigger enemy and have to put their differences aside, albeit momentarily. Unfortunately, the relationship that once existed between them will never come back and be the same.

Before Cheetah became who she is today, she was Dr. Barbara Ann Minerva, a British archeologist and Wonder Woman’s close friend, since she was one of the first people who managed to communicate with the Amazon princess when she came to the world of man. Unfortunately, Cheetah blames Diana for not saving her from her transformation and she grew to hate her.

9 Respects: Steve Trevor

While he might not be a superhero per se, Steve Trevor is still a hero and deserves a spot on this list, considering how significant part he played and continues to play in Wonder Woman’s life. Steve is by far the biggest love of Diana’s life, the first man she ever met and fell for.

Their relationship in the first Wonder Woman film from 2017, unfortunately, ended tragically when Steve sacrificed his own life. The good news is that he’s still alive and well in the comics, though, and often fights by Diana’s side and is a support to her even in the darkest of times. These two have had their problems but Steve will always respect Diana and stand by her.

8 Despises: Batgirl

Wonder Woman is mostly a heroic character, but considering her long and rich history, it doesn’t really come as a surprise that she also did some pretty unsavory things. After all, nobody’s perfect, not even Wonder Woman.

In one of the weirdest comic book stories, both Wonder Woman and Batgirl fought for Batman’s affection since they were both convinced they were in love with him. It got even more bizarre when they stopped giving Batman gifts as proof of their feelings and actually decided to fight for him physically. You couldn’t, therefore, blame Batgirl if she hated Wonder Woman after Diana had defeated her.

7 Respects: Cyborg

When you put together a superhero team, it’s inevitable that some of its members will get along well while others… not so much. The Justice League is no exception in this area. While Wonder Woman usually teams up with other heroes than Cyborg, namely Superman and Batman (since they form the Trinity of the DC universe) that doesn’t mean she and Cyborg don’t get along.

In the Justice League film, Diana shows kindness to Cyborg who’s having a hard time dealing with who he became and the fact that his life will never be the same. So even though they’re not the best of friends, they certainly are friendly and respectful to one another.

6 Despises: Huntress

Huntress is not the first person most people recall when someone says “Wonder Woman’s enemies”… and yet, these two are far from friends. At least in DC’s Injustice Universe in which Diana did something unthinkable… she killed Huntress.

As most superhero fans know, killing enemies is something superheroes don’t usually like to do… but killing other superheroes? That’s an even bigger no-no. Yet Diana did exactly that. To be fair, Huntress teamed up with an evil version of Superman, so it was mostly a ‘kill or be killed’ situation. That still doesn’t mean that Wonder Woman had to break Huntress’ neck. Even though she didn’t plan to.

5 Respects: Batman

You might think that someone like Batman and Wonder Woman would have nothing in common. While it’s true that these two have different characters and the way they see the world and people around them, they still managed to find their way to one another.

Batman was suspicious of Wonder Woman at first but he quickly realized that she had nothing but kindness and determination to help people in her heart, which is more than can be said for most people. Batman even kissed Wonder Woman, but even though the attraction between them does exist, they never really became more than friends.

4 Despises: Mera

Another alternate timeline, in which Wonder Woman isn’t as kind-hearted and full of joy as the fans grew to know her and love her, is the now already iconic Flashpoint storyline. Barry Allen accidentally created the Flashpoint when he traveled back in time to stop his mom from getting murdered.

In the new reality, Wonder Woman was far from heroic. She preferred brutal force over a more peaceful conflict solution and she wasn’t one to shy away from killing her enemies. Including Steve Trevor… and yes, Mera, Aquaman’s wife, and another formidable hero. This version of Wonder Woman is a dark reminder of how twisted Diana could be if she ever lost herself.

3 Respects: The Flash

The one hero who doesn’t have a lot of romantic traction between him and Wonder Woman is Barry Allen aka The Flash, or even Wally West who also took on the mantle of the fastest man alive. The Flash is one of the most positive DC superheroes, so it’s no wonder he and Wonder Woman easily saw eye to eye since Diana is no grumpy person herself, not like Batman or other, more serious superheroes.

Wonder Woman shows somewhat protective tendencies towards The Flash, maybe because of his youth, and he, in return, does his best to help her in a fight when she’s in danger.

2 Despises: Aquaman

These two got along together reasonably well in the 2017 film Justice League even though it seemed that Diana preferred spending time with Bruce Wayne. However, in the animated DC universe, the relationship between Diana and Arthur Curry aka Aquaman is far from idyllic.

In this version, Aquaman’s biggest flaw is his ego, and he tends to underestimate people. He then didn’t accept it well at all when he fought Wonder Woman and she defeated him. When he lost on the solid ground, Aquaman forced Diana to fight him underwater where he had a natural advantage. Even if they didn’t start on rocky ground, it would still be hard to imagine them as best friends.

1 Respects: Superman

Some relationships on this list stayed purely on the friendly level even though there was definitely potential for more (aka Bruce Wayne and Diana)… but others have moved onto the romance field. Superman and Wonder Woman is one of them, and it’s hard to deny that these two make an impressive couple.

When Superman first meets Wonder Woman, he immediately notices her beauty, and soon starts to respect her for all her other unique traits, such as her courage and kindness. They work great together and they even dated for a while, even though Superman and Lois Lane are still the number one couple when it comes to the Man of Steel.
