With seven expansions, World of Warcraft has been a fan favorite since 2004. An engrossing MMO, players can engulf themselves in World of Warcraft’s lore for hours on end to learn about the different zones, races, factions, and classes. With each new expansion comes even more content, mechanics, and detail. Players can sit back and spend some time in the fantasy RPG world in order to master the game and consume as much content as possible.

World of Warcraft players will need to level up to unlock different activities, mounts, and parts of the expansive World of Warcraft universe. The act of leveling is spending time in an area and completing a specific task over and over, or completing quests, in order to level up consistently. Each zone has different leveling opportunities for players and different aesthetics. While some zones are best for players to grind in, others can give players a relaxing or exciting environment to spend some time in. Below are four different leveling zones that all have their respective perks.

Best Leveling Zones for Grinding in World of Warcraft

Thousand NeedlesPlayers can sail through the Thousand Needles zone in a boat, giving it a unique mechanic that not many other zones have. The mesas aren’t a bad view either. Players can take out Galak enemies in order to quickly level up, as they are pretty easy to defeat.

Badlands

The Badlands are equipped with winding canyons, mobs of enemies, and ominous music. Players can quickly level up by defeating rock elementals and whelps. There are also quests that will have players defeat rock elementals, which means they can double dip on XP. They will also drop loot that can be sold to vendors.

Best Leveling Zones for Environment in World of Warcraft

Nagrand

A neutral zone, Nagrand has floating islands, wooden bridges, and a grand soundtrack to boot. Explore its rolling hills to find wildlife, and investigate the Spirit Fields to learn more about Orcish culture and Draenei history. Players can see or participate in battles in the Ring of Trials to claim victory in the ancient Orcish proving ground.

Grizzly Hills

Grizzly Hills is a heavily wooded area complete with Celtic-inspired music, log cabins, and homes within the tree trunks. Accompanied with walking trees, players may think that they’ve stumbled into a Tolkien novel. While the scenery and music may be calming, there is still plenty of excitement to be had in this zone. Players will find plenty of wolves in this area to grind through, as well as quests pertaining to hunters and trappers.

Now that players have at least four leveling zones to start with, they should be able to log some hours and reach level 40 in no time. Keep in mind what faction has control over what area in a given time, and that the ruling faction is always subject to change.
