With less than a week to go before launch, the excitement for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is at an all-time high. While pre-launch events are ongoing, the game’s altered leveling system also gives new World of Warcraft players plenty of chances to experiment with other classes. Based on new abilities and specs from the pre-patch, some healers will fare better than others in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands’ new content.

The pre-patch for the eighth World of Warcraft expansion introduces several changes to the game, including a new level squish that allows players to level up classes much faster. This is great for experimenting with new classes in World of Warcraft before the Shadowlands expansion fully releases. It allows players to get a feel for other classes they may not have otherwise explored, as well as allowing them to see how their main World of Warcraft class choice works with the new Shadowlands content.

The Best Healing Classes In WoW: Shadowlands

The Shaman excels as a healer in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands due to pre-patch buffs to abilities like Chain Heal and Riptide. Healing Wave and Healing Rain were also boosted for the Restoration Shaman, which means they’re all significantly stronger now. Improved Reincarnation is a new Passive Ability, which means World of Warcraft’s Shamans revive with 20% more health, which is great for both dungeon runs and solo play.

Discipline Priest is also a good healing class for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, since it has high burst healing and short cooldowns, although the Holy Priest makes the better of the two. In fact, the Holy Priest is arguably the best healing class in World of Warcraft now. This is mostly due to the fact that Circle of Healing is now a baseline ability, and the Prayer Circle talent increases its effectiveness. This makes the Holy Priest ideal for the new Shadowlands dungeons as well as World of Warcraft’s endgame raids.

Before World of Warcraft: Shadowlands releases, it’s a great time for players to experiment with other classes, and the new level squish makes this easier than ever. While a lot of factors, like Covenants and gear, can alter which healing class is best, it mostly comes down to the various abilities and talent changes implemented into World of Warcraft: Shadowlands during the pre-patch.
