X-Men: Massive Sentinel Cosplay Needs To Be Seen To Be Believed

In a stunning cosplay that manages to capture the impressive size of one of the X-Men’s greatest villains, cosplayer @hummin_h2 brings a Sentinel to life in an incredibly creative look. The mutant-hunting robots are specifically designed to take down some of Marvel’s greatest heroes and villains – using their menacing size and weapons to take them down. @hummin_h2’s Sentinel cosplay is big and bold and needs to be seen to be believed.

The Sentinels are among the greatest adversaries to the X-Men in comic book history. Initially debuting in The X-Men #14 by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, the Sentinels were created by Bolivar Trask in an attempt to develop a weapon strong enough to fight back against mutants and their incredible powers. Since their early days fighting the X-Men, the massive robots have evolved, gaining increased power and forms, with some Sentinels even gaining sentience and self-awareness. As a result, the Sentinels have regularly been the X-Men’s most challenging enemy. In the classic Days of Future Past storylines, the Sentinels ruled the United States and nearly defeated the mutants for good. The Sentinels made their live-action debut in the film adaptation of the storyline, where they similarly conquered the future.

On his Instagram account, cosplayer @hummin_h2 shared his fantastic recreation of the X-Men’s Sentinel. The cosplay is absolutely massive, as the talented cosplayer makes sure his take on the Sentinel is appropriately intimidating. Everything from the size, to the details, to the Sentinel’s glowing eyes and chest piece are pitch-perfect. In the captions of his Instagram posts, @hummin_h2 describes the difficulties of trying to navigate through a convention wearing such a massive suit of armor. He admitted he could barely see and needed guidance on where to move while revealing in another post that he also had trouble hearing when being interviewed. However, the inconveniences were worth it in this case, as the X-Men Sentinel cosplay is spectacular.

@hummin_h2 isn’t afraid to tackle a cosplay, even when the size is much bigger than he is. With the Sentinel cosplay and his previous Juggernaut recreation, he proved that no character is off-limits, no matter how big they are. The X-Men Sentinel cosplay is quite an achievement as he genuinely nailed the look.
