Even though Fox’s string of X-Men movies are just about over, X-Men: Apocalypse actress Lana Condor says she’d love to reprise her role as Jubilee. Fans were excited when Condor was cast as Jubilee for Apocalypse, as it would be the first time the mutant would be prominently featured in a live-action film. However, Jubilee’s role in the film was very small, amounting to what was essentially a cameo. A few of Condor’s scenes were deleted from the final cut, and she sat out 2019’s Dark Phoenix despite most of the young cast from Apocalypse being featured.

Since then, Condor has become a household name thanks to her role as Lara Jean Covey in Netflix’s hit To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. The sequel P.S. I Still Love You premiered on the streamer last week, and the third and final film in the series has already been shot. Condor also starred on the Syfy series Deadly Class, and as the To All the Boys franchise wraps up, she’s looking for new roles. Recently, Condor admitted she wants to play a female Spider-Man.

However, at the same time, Condor isn’t yet willing to give up on Jubilee. While speaking to The Wrap, Condor confessed she still has hope Jubilee could make another appearance on the big screen. She also revealed that she would love to do the character justice because “she didn’t have it five years ago.” Read on for her full comments:

I think that now is a really good time and I would really like to do her justice because she didn’t have it five years ago and I don’t think ever has. She’s a fantastic character and now I think is the perfect time to give her what she deserves, so I would love to go back and do something with her.

I haven’t [heard anything from Disney], but I did see some of the filmmakers at [the Vanity Fair Oscar party] the other night and I was like ‘Hey… don’t forget, don’t sleep on her.’

Thanks to the Disney-Fox acquisition, the X-Men are now back in the hands of Marvel Studios, meaning they will eventually join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Kevin Feige confirmed that much last year at San Diego Comic Con, though he didn’t share any details beyond that. It’s assumed that the MCU’s version of the X-Men will be different than Fox’s, though Condor’s role in Apocalypse was so small that it couldn’t hurt to bring her back should Marvel decide to revive Jubilee. The final X-Men film to come from Fox will be The New Mutants, which will be released on April 3.

There were a lot of things people disliked about Apocalypse, and Jubilee’s lack of a role is definitely one of them. Considering Condor’s talent and popularity, it would make perfect sense to put her back in the role. This would give Condor the chance to play Jubilee how she wanted to years ago. Of course, no one knows exactly what Marvel has planned for the X-Men, and there’s a chance they won’t include Jubilee at all. If they do though, here’s hoping Condor gets another shot.
