Multiple titles are scheduled to exit Xbox Game Pass on console and PC in July, such as Monster Hunter World and indie darling Outer Wilds. While a chunk of games will soon exit the streaming service, subscribers can rest assured that Microsoft has secured a host of exciting Game Pass additions.

During the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase at E3 2021, Xbox announced that 31 games are on track for a day one Game Pass release. The lengthy list includes first-party titles like Halo Infinite, Psychonauts 2, and Starfield, of course. Meanwhile, subscribers will also gain access to third-party adventures such as Aragami 2, Back 4 Blood, Hades, and Hello Neighbor 2, all of which boast 2021 release dates. Plus, several notable games were added to Game Pass on the day of Xbox’s E3 conference, allowing subscribers to instantly hop into multiple Fallout adventures, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Rage, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. But while new experiences make their way to the platform, others are primed for an exit.

Eight games in total will leave the Xbox Game Pass library on console and PC come July 1. The “leaving soon” tap on Xbox’s website has the console titles in question listed as Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Monster Hunter World, Outer Wilds, SoulCalibur VI, and The Messenger. Game Pass on PC, meanwhile, will soon lose Battle Chasers: Nightwar, Mistover, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, Out of the Park Baseball 21, and The Messenger.

A few of these adventures have been on Game Pass for quite a long time. For example, Monster Hunter World originally slashed its way onto the platform back in Spring 2019 and SoulCalibur VI joined the service in July 2020. A title like Outer Wilds, on the other hand, just entered the mix this past January, but those interested in the award-winning indie hit still have a few days to give it a try.

Xbox Game Pass already boasted plenty of value, yet Microsoft has managed to increase said value tenfold in recent months. It’s not exclusively due to the available games, either. Thanks to Game Pass’ implementation of touch controls, Android an iOS users can enjoy dozens of noteworthy Game Pass experiences via Xbox’s impressive cloud-based services. And last year’s integration of EA Play continues to give Game Pass subscribers plenty of bang for their buck. It’s clear the Xbox streaming initiative will only expand as time presses on.
