The next batch of XboxGames with Gold has been revealed, and subscribers of the service will be able to add the four games to their collection this September. As expected, the batch of games includes two Xbox One titles, along with two Xbox 360 games playable on newer systems thanks to backward compatibility.

Xbox Games with Gold is a service that gives fans access to a different set of games each month. While some month’s offerings do vary, players can typically expect four games, two of them being Xbox 360 titles. The subscription works similarly to PlayStation Plus, with players being able to keep their downloaded titles for as long as their subscription remains active, at least for any Xbox One games downloaded through Games with Gold. Xbox 360 games acquired through the service will still be available even after ending a subscription. Previous Games with Gold titles have included LEGO Batman: The Video Game and Conker: Live & Reloaded.

Microsoft has now revealed the Xbox Games with Gold for September 2021, announcing the Xbox One titles Warhammer: Chaosbane and Mulaka. The Xbox 360 games will be Zone of the Enders HD Collection and Samurai Shodown 2. The games have been revealed in a new Xbox trailer that shows the titles in action and gives a taste of what Xbox fans unfamiliar with the titles can expect. Warhammer: Chaosbane will be available to download from September 1, Mulaka will be available from September 16, Zone of the Enders HD Collection can be picked up from September 1, and Samurai Shodown 2 arrives on September 16. Players with a subscription to either Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will be able to claim the games.

As one of the most popular games on the list, Samurai Shodown 2 is likely to attract a lot of Xbox fans thanks to Games with Gold. The classic fighting game includes 15 fan-favorite characters who must hack and slash through their opponents to win. Samurai Shodown 2 improves on its predecessor thanks to the addition of new moves and an enhanced Rage system. The Rage system sees attack power rise when the gauge is full and allows for the use of special techniques to bring opponents down.

Xbox Games with Gold has provided yet another solid month for its subscribers. The action-packed Warhammer: Chaosbane will allow up to four players to play together in local or online co-op for some fun with friends, while the beautiful landscapes of Mulaka’s Mexico will make for the perfect solo adventure. Meanwhile, fans of Hideo Kojima who haven’t yet played Zone of the Enders should enjoy time with the HD collection. Players will have until September 30 to claim Samurai Shodown 2 and Warhammer: Chaosbane, until October 15 to claim Mulaka, and until September 15 to claim Zone of the Enders HD Collection.
