A brand new Young Sheldon season 5 clip explains how Georgie (Montana Jordan) became the successful businessman on The Big Bang Theory. CBS’ premier comedy is in its final stretch for the year, and noticeably, it seems to put the eldest Cooper kid at the center of its storytelling. This week, expect him to showcase his entrepreneurial skills as he helps Missy (Raegan Revord) start her own business.

Like the rest of his family, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) talked about Georgie on The Big Bang Theory for years. He finally made his debut in season 11, with the adult version of the character being played by Jerry O’Connell. His guest appearance came as Amy (Mayim Bialik) and Sheldon’s wedding inched near. Initially, Georgie didn’t want to attend the ceremony because of his estranged relationship with his brother, but they eventually patched things up. Aside from the brothers finding a resolution to their conflict, fans also learned that Georgie has become a successful businessman, owning Mr. Tire.

Since then, Young Sheldon has started to lay the foundations of Georgie’s success as seen on The Big Bang Theory. This time, he is even imparting some entrepreneurial wisdom on Missy, who attempts to begin a cotton candy business. In the new clip for Young Sheldon season 5, episode 16, titled  “A Suitcase Full of Cash and a Yellow Clown Car,” the pair has a great discussion about the new venture, with Georgie proving why he’s able to establish the biggest tire chain in Texas. After  Georgie drops out of school, a decision that receives intense backlash from George (Lance Barber) and Mary (Zoe Perry), Young Sheldon is able to more explicitly set up Georgie’s future as a businessman. He joins Meemaw’s (Annie Potts) laundromat/gambling den and, as seen in the clip above, the ventures are thriving, but because of the illegal aspect of it, Sheldon’s grandmom can’t just easily deposit their earnings. In any case, Georgie’s choice to start working full-time early on will prove to be very helpful in the next couple of years as George is expected to die sooner than later in the sitcom. As revealed in The Big Bang Theory, Georgie takes over as head of the family as the death of her husband leaves Mary too distraught to function.

On top of all of that, Missy and Georgie’s interactions have always been fun to watch onYoung Sheldon. Recently, the eldest Cooper sibling has been so busy with his personal life that he barely spends time with his nuclear family. So, it’s nice that he and Missy get to have some bonding moments in the upcoming episode of the comedy. Elsewhere, Sheldon will be pestering Mary instead.

Young Sheldon season 5 airs Thursdays on CBS.
