Younger: Kelsey’s 10 Best Outfits

Younger may primarily center on Liza, the 40-year-old single mom pretending to be 26 again to get a job in the field she’s passionate about, but Kelsey is right there with Liza every step of the way. From day one, Kelsey Peters (played by Hilary Duff) was a force to be reckoned with at Empirical Press. 

The book publishing company had seen something in Kelsey and she was already an editor at the ripe age of 26. But that’s not the only thing that we take notice of when it comes to Kelsey. It’s also the incredible fashion sense she seems to have. Whether she’s at a work event, partying with her girls, or just walking the streets of New York, she is always dressed to kill.

These are our top 10 favorite outfits Kelsey has worn on Younger, so far.

10 Street Fashion Done Right

This is a look that not just anyone could pull off, but of course, Kelsey is able to do so effortlessly. She’s rocking a leather bright red jacket with pink bow detailing. But it’s also how she accessorizes this look that really catches our eye.

She decides to keep it simple with skinny black jeans to pair with the jacket and completes it all with color block pumps and a striped clutch bag. It perfectly emulates New York City girl chic and shows how Kelsey is always fashionably cool while still putting forth an effort to look as good as she does.

9 Business Meeting Ready

Kelsey has always had a way of looking high fashion and gorgeous while still looking the part of a book editor. Instead of taking a more simplistic bordering on boring approach to her fashion choices, she puts her best foot forward each and every time with a killer outfit.

This is no different. She is wearing a geometric patterned top tucked into a leather mini skirt and to complete it, she is donning a gorgeous camel colored cape jacket that will keep her warm to make up for the shortness of her skirt. The jacket’s black buckle detailing just makes it all the more chic, too.

8 The Famous Purple Jumpsuit

Sometimes it is a great idea to take a fashion risk, and Kelsey is no stranger to doing just that. This is a perfect example of that. For this scene on Younger, she is seen with her best friend, Lauren, and she looks dressed to the nines, as per usual.

But it’s the fact she was able to take a ’70s inspired outfit and put her own spin on it that is the fashion risk. Yet she completely pulls of this purple jumpsuit with flared legs, a draped detailing on the bust, and a tie at the shoulder. What is even better is she didn’t stop there and added nude platform heels to make her legs look even longer. It’s an amazing ensemble.

7 A Classy Daytime Look

While out and about with her friend, co-worker, and confidante, Liza, Kelsey is seen looking as beautiful as ever in this latest outfit. She is mixing striped patterns with a large horizontal striped black and white mini dress and dresses it up even more with a vertically striped cape jacket.

What truly makes this outfit stand out even more so, though, is something that is not pictured, which are her heels. She is wearing peep-toe tie-front mauve heels that perfectly work with the simplicity of the rest of the outfit. It’s the statement piece she needed to make it work as well as it does. 

6 The Coat Of Our Dreams

Okay, so we may not be entirely sure if this coat of Kelsey’s is faux fur or not, but let’s just say that it is for the sake of this argument, because it is absolutely stunning.

The lush multi-printed cream-colored fur coat is a showstopper, to be sure. Paired with pumps and a nude-colored top, this look screams fashionista in New York. It looks beautiful on Kelsey and the fact she kept the rest of her outfit, and even her hair and makeup, lowkey to not distract from this gorgeous coat was genius.

We only wish we could pull it off as well as she does.

5 Boho Vibes

Even the more casual outfits that Kelsey puts together look effortlessly chic and it’s honestly giving us closet envy. On the way back from a retreat with Liza, Kelsey is seated here with her in what she deems appropriate and casual airport attire.

She’s wearing light faded blue jeans with an ivory floral printed crocheted top that is off the shoulder to boot. Her brightly colored bag doesn’t even look out of place somehow against this casual look. To complete it, she once again kept her makeup neutral while letting her long blonde tresses flow with just her bangs pulled back. It’s a gorgeous ensemble.

4 Red From Head-To-Toe

Red just may be Kelsey’s color after seeing her in this head-to-toe red outfit. Here she is sporting yet another off-the-shoulder long-sleeved top that is a brightly colored red. She tucks in this form-fitting top into a matching pair of red high-waisted pants complete with a skinny red belt with a sleek silver buckle.

She offsets the all-red outfit with a printed ivory clutch and wears a nude lip as well. It works so perfectly on a woman like Kelsey who could practically wear a burlap sack and still look high fashion somehow. But this is no burlap sack and she looks absolutely ready to paint the town…red.

3 The Classic Combo Of Black And Pink

On her way to work her amazing job as an editor at a major publishing company, Kelsey looks as fashionable as ever. Seen here on the streets of New York, she is dashing across in simple black top paired with the most beautiful neon pink leather mini skirt you’ve ever seen. 

She wears a printed jacket on top of the two pieces and finishes it off with a gray infinity scarf and a black crossbody bag. As always, she’s wearing killer heels to give it that little extra something. And with that, it’s off she goes to work, to look like the most fashionable book editor there ever was.

2 Shades Of Pink

Here Kelsey is seen with her on-again-off-again lover and the man she is forever competing against at the company, Zane. Clearly they are having an intimate conversation by the looks on their faces and Kelsey looks the part of the seductress in the most effortless way possible.

Her light pink top paired with a nude pink mini skirt already makes her look pretty in pink but the addition of her strappy hot pink heels gives her outfit a bit of an edge that was definitely needed to make it the perfect ensemble.

No wonder Zane is always at her beck and call.

1 All Leather For Kelsey

In one of Kelsey’s most daring looks, she goes full throttle with a completely leather ensemble. Seen here with her boyfriend at the time, she is going to a risqué club and decides to go all out with a tight leather mini dress.

That’s not where she stops, though. She goes the extra mile by wearing long leather gloves that go past her elbows and black high heels. Her dark lipstick and choker necklace obviously makes her look even more of the part of the temptress going to the indecent club. We just can’t help but love this absolutely risky and daring outfit.
