Arriving more than a decade after Jackass 3D, the classic franchise is back with a new movie in the form of Jackass Forever. Of course, the film features returning veterans like Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O, but there are also plenty of newcomers joining the crew to perform their fair share of wild stunts. Among the fresh faces are Zach Holmes, Jasper, Rachel Wolfson, and Sean “Poopies” McInerney.

Screen Rant spoke with the quartet of newcomers to discuss what it was like becoming a part of Jackass, their hopes for the future of the franchise, and more.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Screen Rant: I’m just so happy, Jackass is back! I want to hear from each of you, what felt like the right of passage moment for you in joining the crew? What was that moment where you’re like, “Yep, I’m in Jackass.”

Zach Holmes: When I tried to fly over a cactus, that’s when I was like, “Yeah, I’m in “Jackass.”

Jasper: I would say, my moment is during the treadmill bit, you know what I’m saying? Because after the treadmill bit Steve-O leaned over and was like, “I didn’t think you was going do it, but you showed me.” I was like, “Yeah!” That was pretty cool.

The thing about the treadmill one, it seemed like such a tame stunt compared to everything else. I feel like it was the biggest injury in the whole movie.

Jasper: It happened so fast. I don’t remember falling. I just remember… just, I was on the ground, like, “Oh my head!” It was just so quick.

Rachel Wolfson: For me, I think the day we did the taser, which was in the quiet game. Because I think they either thought I was going to cry or not do it, and neither of those things happened. I definitely saw their faces and some of their attitudes changed towards me after that.

You are fearless.

Sean “Poopies” McInerney: For me, it was my first stunt ever with them. All the cameras… and it was called the hot sauce challenge. I don’t know if I can talk about it. But, I was looking at the cameras and all the boys were around me. I’m like, “Dude, I’m on Jackass.” My first stunt, I was like, “This is crazy.” But yeah, it was awesome. Dream come true.

How have your paranoia levels changed as a result of doing Jackass? When you’re on set, do you even go near the Porta-potties? Or are you like, “I’m just going to run into a field and be far away?”

Rachel Wolfson: I won’t go near a port-a-potty off set.

Zach Holmes: Yeah.

Jasper: I used to cheat. I used to actually sneak away and go to the productions bathroom, so they couldn’t get me. That was my whole thing, I would sneak away.

Zach Holmes: Yeah, I would just try to hold it in all day.

Rachel Wolfson: You thought you knew what paranoia was, and then you started working on “Jackass” and you realize you don’t know what paranoia is.

Seeing, how much joy the announcement of Jackass Forever brought and you guys just being amazing new additions, what do you hope the future of Jackass holds? Are you interested in something like reviving the TV series or anything like that?

Sean “Poopies” McInerney: I don’t think we want to do TV series. I think we want to keep it in the movie.

Jasper: Okay, Poops!

Rachel Wolfson: I’m down for anything. If Jeff came to us and was like movie, TV, TikTok series, I’d be down.

Sean “Poopies” McInerney: We’re down, but we want to be on the big screen for sure.

Poopies Says, “I am a movie star only.”

Rachel Wolfson: Yes.

Jasper: We’re not going backwards.

Sean “Poopies” McInerney: We’re not downgrading.

Last question, I’m asking everybody this, and I don’t know if you quite have this answer yet, but what is the worst thing a doctor has said to you as a result of doing Jackass? Is there anything you’re just like, “Oh my gosh, I can’t believe this was just told to me.”

Jasper: I mean, nah.

Sean “Poopies” McInerney: I had two surgeries and yeah, my hand got bit by a shark. That was probably the gnarliest thing I think.

Jasper: I only saw the doctor once and it wasn’t for too bad of an injury. I was pretty good, you know what I’m saying? My young bones kept me going. I’m not that young. I’m 30, but you know what I mean?

Rachel Wolfson: My therapist asked me if I’m okay.

Sean “Poopies” McInerney: Oh no.

More psychological damage than anything. Thank you guys so much. This was awesome. I can’t wait to see more from you guys!
