A crafty The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wildfan recently attempted to recreate some of the game’s monsters in Hero Forge, making a Lynel, Bokoblin, and more. Hero Forge is an easy to use online character builder that allows players to design and 3D print their custom tabletop figures.

Four years on since its release, Breath of The Wild continues to captivate its fans both in-game and in real life, thanks to its open-world sandbox style gameplay that allows players to experience Hyrule at their own pace. While fans patiently await the release of BOTW’s sequel, they continue to discover new details and ways to play the game, showing that there are still plenty of things to do in Hyrule. Recently, one player decided to put their skills to the test, pushing BOTW‘s fighting mechanics to their limit by utilizing nearly all of the game’s combat tricks during a showdown with a very unfortunate Moblin.

Reddit user MrBlockhead727 recently shared some pictures of their attempt at recreating some of Breath of The Wild’s monsters in Hero Forge. Their recreations included a Bokoblin, Moblin, Lizalfos, Electric Wizzrobe, and a Lynel. Due to the limitations of the character maker, the monsters had some differences from their in-game models, but the Redditor’s excellent attempt meant those familiar with the game’s monsters could still recognize the characters upon first glance. Perhaps the most impressive out of the recreations was the Lynel, which looked incredibly close to its in-game version.

As one of the more formidable foes that players will face during their time in Hyrule, Lynels have often been the subject of players’ creative endeavors, with one fan creating a BOTW Lynel out of LEGO. Although MrBlockhead727 was not quite satisfied with their Hero Forge creations, many Redditors argued on the creator’s own behalf, sharing the sentiment that some of the monster designs such as the Bokoblin and Electric Wizzrobe look much more terrifying in comparison to their in-game counterparts.

Despite the limitations of Hero Forge, MrBlockhead727 has made an excellent attempt at recreating some of Breath of The Wild’s monsters, and its resulting 3D figures would be excellent additions to any tabletop game. Luckily, fans will have even more Zelda content to fuel their artistic creations with the game’s sequel, BOTW 2, releasing in 2022 for the Nintendo Switch. Hopefully, the much-anticipated game will introduce a wider variety of enemies for the crafty Redditor to recreate.
