One Nintendo fan has created the ultimate The Legend of Zelda-themed aquarium for their fish, complete with the foreboding Majora’s Mask moon looming at the top of the tank. This year marks The Legend of Zelda series’ 35th anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, Nintendo has announced a Skyward Sword remake for the Nintendo Switch, as well as assuring fans that more news on Breath of the Wild’s sequel will be coming later this year.

The lack of news on the next installment to the series has been a disappointment to Zelda’s massive fanbase. For over three decades, Nintendo has kept pulling fans back to the mystical worlds of Link and Princess Zelda. This has resulted in some beautiful fan art over the years, including one stunning canvas that managed to encompass all of the games within the series in a single scene. Now another Zelda fan has shared their own way of honoring the franchise, only this time, rather than a canvas, an aquarium takes center stage.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Jessmess92 shared their incredible fish tank on Reddit. Within the aquatic depths of Jessmess92’s creation are Zelda-themed stained-glass windows, a Breath of the Wild inspired Bokoblin camp, and, most intimidatingly, the looming and imposing moon from Majora’s Mask. The fish in this tank easily have one of the most unique setups to grace the internet thus far.

Along with the homage to Majora’s Mask within Jessmess92’s fish tank, one fan also recently recreated the game’s iconic clock tower completely out of Lego bricks. This adorable structure is fully functional, including the rotating clock faces and the ability to open the tower up, much like it does on the third and final day of Majora’s Mask’s cycle.

While not taking place in The Legend of Zelda’s more traditional setting of the Kingdom of Hyrule, Majora’s Mask still holds a key place in many fans’ hearts. Widely considered one of the darker entries to the franchise, Majora’s Masks acts as a direct sequel to the Nintendo 64’s Ocarina of Time. Given that the small clip that was shared of the upcoming Breath of the Wild 2 (name still pending) shared the same eerie and haunting tone as Majora’s Mask, many have hopes that Nintendo will follow the same pattern with this sequel as they did with the N64’s. Whenever the sequel does grace gamers’ libraries, though, there will surely be another iconic The Legend of Zelda-themed item that will be able to find a home within Jessmess92’s spectacular aquarium.
