An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has created a Nintendo 64 themed room filled with all sorts of designs from Mario’s adventures. This room uses a combination of Nintendo furniture along with custom designs to create a room that is meant for gamers.

The first Nintendo series of furniture released in Animal Crossing: New Horizons with the Mario 35th anniversary update. The update added a variety of orderable Mario-themed furniture and clothing into the game. This included outfits for various Mario characters, along with the unique warp pipe item that allows for easier traversal. These items have been used by fans in many creative ways, though the limited number of items meant that several of the items in this Nintendo room were created with the custom designer pro.

Reddit user NintendoPlanet has filled this Nintendo-themed room with a variety of designs from Super Mario 64. The walls are decked with various level paintings in Peach’s Castle, with the wallpaper being the menu background when starting up the game. The computer in the room also has a Super Mario 64 design, and the TV shows a shot of the title from Super Mario Sunshine. The Paper Mario at the entrance of the room along with the Peach’s Castle rug underneath the table helps bring the room together to create a feeling of nostalgia throughout it.

Compared to Animal Crossing: New Leaf, the selection of furniture to use is more limited despite the ability to place furniture outside. There was a much greater variety of Nintendo items to obtain in Animal Crossing: New Leaf and the absence of the froggy chair continues to be more noticeable with each update. The limited amount of furniture is just one reason why many feel a major content update is in order for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as the same furniture is used in a lot of islands.

But the custom designer pro allows for endless amounts of creativity as seen with the Peach’s Castle rug in the Nintendo room, showing how much fans can create when put to the test. There are countless amounts of fanmade designs uploaded through the game’s pro designer uploader, and the designs used in this room are available to download through NintendoPlanet’s creator ID found on the post. This way, other players can create similar Nintendo-themed rooms that cater to the hearts of gamers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
