The CW has become the home of a lot of genre series, but the biggest franchise to carry the network is the Arrowverse. It all began with Arrow, a reimagining of the Green Arrow that opened the doors for more characters to come to life and lead their own spinoffs. With shows like The Flash, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, Batwoman, Black Lightning, and more, the DC TV action has been non-stop for almost a full decade.

The crossover Crisis on Infinite Earths was a game-changer for the Arrowverse, as it extended the longevity of this version of the DC world on television. Thanks to the five-part event, DC TV fans will be able to follow these characters for more years to come as it allowed for new story opportunities to happen. It has also opened the door to many hilarious memes that lovingly poke fun at the whole thing.

10 Barry’s Love For Oliver

There were a lot of huge moments in Crisis On Infinite Earths, but one of the biggest moments of the crossover was how the adventures of Oliver and Barry Allen came to an end. With Oliver sacrificing himself to literally reboot the Multiverse, Barry lost both a mentor and a friend. This meme is a perfect representation of how Barry feels without Oliver being in the Arrowverse. Since it’s a comic book franchise, it may not be the last time they see each other though.

9 How One Year Can Change Everything

The Elseworlds crossover introduced Kate Kane into the Arrowverse, as Batwoman became the latest heroine to join the ranks. A huge takeaway was how quickly Kate bonded with Kara Danvers, giving the Arrowverse its own World’s Finest. However, a year later, their interaction would get a bit more intense.

With Kara having lost her Earth, Kate was ready to become an opponent when the Girl of Steel insisted on bringing it back with the Book of Destiny. It’s still sad that after all the setups, fans won’t get to see Kate and Kara engage anymore as Ruby Rose is leaving Batwoman.

8 The Arrowverse’s Need For Snacks

It’s not easy being a superhero, especially if you don’t have any actual superpowers. In Oliver’s case, the Emerald Archer had to use everything he had ever learned while also still living as a human. Being a superhero in action takes a lot of energy though and would probably cause some effects to someone’s mood. Perhaps Oliver just needed Barry to get him a Snickers every once in a while.

7 The Curse Of Hiatuses

The Arrowverse goes up against a lot of dangerous villains every season. But the viewers who follow the shows have their own big bad, which are those long hiatuses.

It’s definitely been more challenging this year due to the global pandemic that has caused the Arrowverse to push their premieres until January 2021. But normally, fans would have to wait until October which is already a long wait after a May finale.

6 DC TV Trinity On-And-Off Screen

Even though the DC TV trinity was a major element to the Arrowverse, it’s a shame that the writers never did more things with those three regularly. But anytime the three of them got to share the spotlight, it was always a blast. However, seeing the actors together outside the shows has also been a highlight.

Whether it’s at a PaleyFest event or them getting together for a photo shoot, the DC TV trinity is sacred. Since Supergirl will be ending after its sixth season, the writers better make sure Barry and Kara have at least one final crossover together in some way.

5 Starbucks Vs The Arrowverse Intros

Any loyal Arrowverse viewer is well aware that most of the shows love to stick an opening monologue from the leading hero.

Even though some of the shows have moved away from it, there are still over 50 episodes where you hear “My name is…” to remind anyone who they’re watching. Imagine how it would look if Oliver and Barry were using those intros in regular life, such as going for a cup of coffee.

4 Failing A City Vs Failing A Universe

This version of Oliver Queen made an impact early in Arrow’s run as he made “You’ve failed this city!” into an iconic Arrowverse phrase. Even though it’s meant to be intimidating, it does come with some comedic aspects too. However, Oliver upped the ante on it during Crisis as he took on the Anti-Monitor in his Spectre form. Despite it being cheeky, hearing Oliver tell Mobius that he had failed this universe, was something that had to happen.

3 DC TV Trinity Of 2 Eras

The Arrowverse is the first major interconnected universe that DC TV has ever had, despite having done superhero shows for over 20 years. Even though Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl have never been a trio in the comics, The CW definitely made them into one.

Despite them being the main faces of DC TV, perhaps older DC fans had their own version of a trinity. Even if they weren’t in the same universe, George Reeves’ Superman, Adam West’s Batman, and Lynda Carter’s Wonder Woman surely was a trinity for that era.

2 Three Heroes, Three Methods

What makes Oliver, Kara, and Barry such a strong trio is how they all differ from each so much. Each of them has their ways of saving the day or trying to help someone in need. The Crisis on Earth-X crossover was a testament to that as they had to battle evil versions of Green Arrow and Supergirl. As powerful as their respective fights were, this meme makes it a bit hilarious when demonstrating that Oliver kills while Barry and Kara simply don’t.

1 When The Tables Turned

Before there were over 5 DC TV shows, the Arrowverse crossovers were centered more on Arrow and The Flash. Their first event had Oliver and Barry tagging together for the first time as the Scarlet Speedster had a thing or two to learn from Green Arrow. An iconic moment was when Barry and Oliver were trying, leading the fatest man alive to fall for the Emerald Archer’s trick.

However, Barry got his sweet revenge almost 5 years later during Elseworlds. When they switched lives with each other, seeing Barry getting to have a laugh at Oliver falling for his own trick, was very satisfying.
