Kasuga has many different strange tasks within Yakuza: Like a Dragon, one of the less strange ones being crafting, however, this requires players to catch bugs. If players haven’t noticed, bugs aren’t very prevalent during fights or inside of a building. They will need to head outdoors to collect the best bugs.

Crafting isn’t the only reason players should hunt for bugs though. While it is the main reason, there are plenty of other side quests players can take on to farm bugs. There are not a ton of outdoor areas within the game, but those with grass and plants tend to have the highest likelihood of spawning bugs.

Where to Find Bugs & What to Use Them For in Yakuza: Like a Dragon

Bugs technically can be grabbed from any part of the environment. They will appear as glowing orbs in the environment. Usually, they can be found resting on trees, bushes, or in the grass. However, the best place to find bugs is throughout Hamakita Park. It is the largest patch of grass within the entire map and sits in the upper right corner of it. Players will almost always be alerted by the presence of bugs here.

To properly farm the area for bugs, players will need to repeatedly leave and return to the area so it can respawn the bugs. After which, players can use the bugs in several different ways. From making money to completing side tasks.

Crafting

During Chapter Five, the player will gain a whole crafting system. This happens when Saeko takes a break from the party. After which, a workshop will appear near Romance street that Adachi tells the group about. While this early on the player may not have access to the most interesting crafts right away, it will be more worthwhile once the player learns more recipes. In particular, Scorpions play an integral part in crafting electrified baseball bats, so cast those nets.

Part-Time Hero Bug Delivery

This becomes available to players after they complete the How to be a Part-Time Hero side quest in Chapter Five. The Part-Time Hero jobs are a variety of delivery requests and challenges. Pick up these jobs to make a little extra cash, with zero of the rush of being a real-life delivery driver.

Rake in the Yen

Alongside the company minigame and other get rich quick schemes, bug hunting is another quick cash grab. While not the most lucrative of the options, doing this is fairly easy as certain rare bugs are worth a good chunk of change. The downside is that while a player is out catching the beasts, there is no real way to tell what they are going to get. However, after a few rounds, the money should start to add up.
