Screen Rant has an exclusive clip from Big City Greens’upcoming Halloween special. The 22 minute animated special will premiere on Saturday, October 9 at 8:30 AM on Disney Channel and Disney NOW. Big CityGreens is currently in its third season, with seasons 1 and 2 available to stream on Disney+.

Big City Greens was created by brothers Chris and Shane Houghton and executive produced by Rob Renzetti (Gravity Falls). It follows mischievous 10-year-old Cricket Green (voiced by co-creator Chris Houghton) and his family including older sister Tilly (Marieve Herington) and dad Bill (Bob Joles). The titular Green family moves from their home in the country to the Big City after losing the family farm. The Greens move in with their Grandmother Alice (Artemis Pebdani) and have to adjust to their new lives while dealing with new adventures and new neighbors.

However, she doesn’t realize that the chemicals she’s putting on the plants are causing them to mutate, turning them into alien monsters! See it below:

“Squashed” isn’t the only Halloween special coming from Big City Greens. The series will also be part of Disney Channel’s Shortstober taking place on October 23. The event, hosted by Cricket and Tilly will feature shorts from several other Disney series. In their short, Cricket and Tilly try to summon a ghost before they go trick-or-treating. The half-hour special will also feature previously aired shorts from Big City Greens, Amphibia, The Ghost and Molly McGee, The Owl House, Descendants, ZOMBIES, and Halloweentown. There will also be a Big City Greens episode of Disney’s Magic Bake-Off on October 15 where the young pastry chefs will have to bring the animated series to life in their cakes.

Official synopsis for the Big City Greens Halloween special: 

In the 22-minute Halloween special, “Squashed!,” the Greens prepare for their Halloween party and Tilly feels bad for Bill, who’s disappointed by the poor yield of his small pumpkin patch. When they visit BigTech to make a produce delivery, Tilly secretly “borrows” Gwendolyn Zapp’s alien chemical compound to make Bill’s pumpkins grow bigger. At first it works, making the pumpkins larger, but it also mutates them into body-snatching alien monsters.

The Halloween special of Big City Greens premieres on Disney Channel and Disney NOW on October 9 AT 8:30 AM.
