Drew Lachey, who competed in two seasons of Dancing With The Stars, is probably best known as a former member of the boy band 98 Degrees, which was highly successful in the late 90’s. Drew performed alongside his older brother, Nick Lachey, who is also known for his marriage to, and TV show with, Jessica Simpson.

Over the years, Drew has had a multitude of accolades, including winning the second season of Dancing With The Stars, where he is best known for his 2006 freestyle dancing cowboy routine with dancer Cheryl Burke. In between him appearing in a variety of Broadway plays and being a presenter for various TV shows, he also returned to the 15th season of Dancing With The Stars for an “All-Stars” reunion. Then in 2019, he appeared as a contestant on CBS’s American Ninja Warrior. While he only made it to the second obstacle, the Ring Jump, he now has some baseline skills for the event, likely making him a candidate for future seasons. So what is he up to nowadays?

According to his personal Instagram account, Drew and his wife are huge advocates of art programs. In fact, we know he married his childhood and high school sweetheart, who was also the choreographer for 98 Degrees. The two started up, and currently run, an art non-profit together called Lachey Arts.

Lachey Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Cincinnati, Ohio. In June of this year, they opened up a brick and mortar location that will focus on summer art camps for young adults with a passion for the performing arts. Each student specifically receives customized training in vocal music, dance, and dramatic arts. Lachey Arts wants to help build a diverse community of empowering and inspiring young creatives with the confidence to help change the world.

Drew seems to be a great guy with a big heart. He even created an “inspirational wall” in the new studio space and the theme will change every month. The wall will be filled with comments, thoughts, and quotes from youths participating in the program. It’s meant to help focus the youths on connecting with their community. In a time when money is scarce, particularly for non-profit programs, Drew seems to be expanding his heart and energy into his community. We can only hope to see more of this kind-heartedness and generosity from people in their communities doing small things to make a big difference.
