Fast & Furious: 10 Characters From The First Three Movies Who Need To Come Back

Though the original The Fast and the Furious would look a lot different if it was recast today, the cast of the series has built up over the years to make up a kind of greatest hits of the fans’ favorite characters.

However, not everyone can be satisfied, and as the original three movies of the series are full of colorful characters, there are bunch of fan favorites that have been left in the dust. The cast is one of the reasons the F&F franchise is great, but with bringing any of these back on board, it could always be just a little bit better.

10 Johnny Tran

Being the first major antagonist of the series, but still one of the richest villains of the entire franchise, Johnny Tran was the first (and arguably last) time that the audience could feel the high stakes at risk. Tran was an incredible and intense villain, and though it’s unlikely that fans will see him again, as the villains of F&F are now literally superheroes, it’d be great to see him pop up briefly.

9 Jesse

There are loads of surprisingly emotional scenes in the Fast & Furious series, and one of the most emotional was when Jesse was shot by Johnny Tran and his crew in a drive-by. Jesse was a great character and arguably the most human of the series, as he was fun and down to earth, but he also made mistakes like everyone else. So it’d be great to see him return in some kind of flashback, and even if not in a flashback, the series hasn’t been shy about bringing characters back from the dead in the past.

8 Carter Verone

Carter Verone is one of the most typical movie villains ever. Though the franchise wouldn’t completely veer in to action territory until the fifth movie, Verone is more like a Bond villain than anything, as he owns a yacht, a mansion, a million cars, and, of course, a ridiculous accent.

It’d be great to see Verone back because, although he was way over the top, he had so much more character than any other villain since, and he had some extreme torture methods too.

7 Agent Markham

Featuring only in 2 Fast 2 Furious, Agent Markham is the token hotheaded FBI agent. His character arc in the movie is so hilariously predictable and something fans have seen in a million movies, as he initially locks horns with Brian, the undercover cop, but in the end, they both share a nod of respect after they reluctantly work together to bring down the bad guy. But set against Agent Bilkins, they had a hilarious back and forth that hasn’t been heard from authoritative figures in the series since.

6 Agent Bilkins

Being the ying to Agent Markham’s yang, Bilkins is the more measured of the two FBI agents, and as he has a history with Brian after working with him in the first movie, he knows how to act with him. Bilkins is patient and that’s presented to hilarious affect, as he comfortably sits down and eats popcorn as he watches Brian and Roman beat the crap out of each other at the derby.

5 Suki

Being one of the actors fans forgot were in the series, Devon Aoki’s feature in the 2 Fast 2 Furious was short but memorable. Playing the fiery female racer with a souped-up Honda S2000, Suki is an excellent racer and a seemingly genius mechanic. And considering how the Fast & Furious franchise is severely lacking when it comes to well-written female characters, it might be worth dusting off this character to breath some new life and excitement in to the franchise.

4 Orange Julius

Amaury Nolasco, whose breakthrough role was as Sucre, the lovable Puerto Rican in Prison Break, had a similar role to Suki in 2 Fast 2 Furious. Orange Julius is a street racer, but not a great one, as he ended up coming last in the first race, and though he starts out as an opponent of Brian’s, he later appears to help O’Conner and Roman. And just like his Prison Break character, he’s typically lovable and excitable, and he’d be a perfect addition to Dox’s crew.

3 Twinkie

No Fast & Furious fan’s face would light up more than if Twinkie randomly appeared on screen. The third movie continued the tradition of casting rappers in tertiary roles, as Twinkie is played hilariously by Lil Bow Wow.

The crafty street merchant selling knock-off and stolen goods was the comedic relief of Tokyo Drift and maybe even more than the character himself, fans want to see Twinkie’s Incredible Hulk Volkswagen.

2 D.K.

With the laws of drifting being one of the few things about the series that actually makes sense, it’s worth bringing back D.K., aka Drift King, to implement just a little bit of grounded reality in to the movie. Though even if he does return, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll be more realistic, as Lucas Black, who was also last seen in Tokyo Drift, is also returning as Sean in F&F9, and he can be seen literally attaching a rocket to a car in the trailer.

1 Neela

As it’s a guarantee that fans are finally going to see Sean again (his extremely short cameo in Fast & Furious 7 doesn’t count,) it can only mean that fans have to see Neela, whose heart he won after beating D.K. in the final drift race. She’s yet another female character in the series who has been sidelined, and even in Tokyo Drift she proved she had skills, but they were never really put to use.
