Warning! Potential spoilers for Gwen-Verse #1 by Marvel Comics

Marvel Comics is entering the Gwenverse in a big way, as a new miniseries will feature different variants of Gwen Stacy, who became other heroes across the Multiverse. On Wednesday, Marvel revealed Tim Seeley and Jodi Nishijima would take on Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse, a five-issue series featuring Spider-Gwen tumbling through time and meeting other heroic versions of herself.

Gwen Stacy, who originally was Peter Parker’s love interest in classic Spider-Man stories, found a second life as a character after Marvel Comics introduced Spider-Gwen (now known as Ghost-Spider) as part of their Spider-Verse series. The character imagined what if Gwen Stacy was bit by a radioactive spider instead of Peter Parker. The hero was a hit for Marvel and has starred in her own series and crossovers and co-starred in the Academy Award-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film, where Hailee Steinfeld voiced her.

When Gwen Stacy was bitten by a radioactive spider, she gained arachnid-like super-powers and started a crimefighting career as Spider-Woman (or as she’s affectionately known to her peers, Ghost-Spider)! But what would have happened if instead she had picked up the enchanted hammer, Mjolnir? Or if she received the Super-Soldier Serum? Or built a high-tech suit of armor? Or…you get the idea! Find out in this new five-issue miniseries as Ghost-Spider tumbles through time and comes face-to-face with herselves!

Many new versions of Gwen Stacy from across the Multiverse will appear in Spider-Gwen: Gwenverse, which arrives in comic book shops in February 2022. Meanwhile, the Gwen Stacy variant covers will arrive at the same time and will release throughout the month.
