Minecraft Player Builds A New Grave Every Time They Die

A Minecraft player has come up with the idea of building a grave every time their character dies in the game. There are quite a number of ways for player characters to end up dead in Minecraft’s Survival and Adventure modes. From fall and fire damage to being killed by a monster, the variety of possible causes of death is pretty wide. In rare cases, players can even die from random Minecraft glitches, adding an unfortunate and unintended wrinkle to an already dangerous game.

Despite being over a decade old, Minecraft is still one of the most popular games in the world, with almost 140 million monthly active users. The amount of creativity that players can express in the sandbox game greatly contributes to its popularity, as the tools the game offers allow players to build almost anything they can imagine, from fanciful palaces and castles to buildings taken straight from pop culture. Apart from the official content expansions that the game still gets on a regular basis, such as Minecraft’s upcoming The Wild update, there are also an immense number of mods and tools that players can utilize to expand their experience in the game.

Reddit user Rt22275rt shared their graveyard project on the Minecraft subreddit, showing a clip of them walking through a cemetery filled with their own graves. There are quite a number of plots in the location, revealing that Rt22275rt has definitely died more than a few times. To be fair, Rt22275rt mentions that they’ve had the world for a long time and have been playing on it for a few years now, so the relatively large number of graves is understandable. Rt22275rt has also written down the cause of their demise on each of the gravestones, which may serve as an entertaining reminder of the different perils players may encounter in the game.

Unfortunately, in response to a comment that mentioned the idea, Rt22275rt reveals that they were not able to put a date for each of their deaths, which may be difficult to apply now long after the fact, though there’s nothing to stop them from dating future graves. Many other commenters also expressed their desire to copy Rt22275rt’s idea, although one mentioned that those who play on Minecraft hardcore multiplayer servers also do this because of the existence of permadeath.

Creating a graveyard for every single death one suffers in Minecraft is definitely an interesting idea. It’s also a nice way to record and look back at all the adventures one has had in their game world. It’s just one of the many creative ideas that the game’s players have come up with to make their respective Minecraft experiences more enjoyable.
