Netflix series My Unorthodox Life star Julia Haart is facing a lawsuit after her estranged husband Silvio Scaglia sued and accused her of illegally withdrawing $850,00 from a company account. The reality TV star was fired as CEO at Elite World Group on Wednesday, February 9. According to a source close to the company, Julia was sacked because of how she allegedly ran the company like her personal pocketbook. Julia was also accused of being behind the huge rise in the company’s corporate costs and expenses because of this.

Julia’s estranged husband Silvio controls Elite World Group. A person close to the organization claimed the 50-year-old fashion designer and entrepreneur had several cases of excessive spending. She allegedly spent on travel, glam, clothes, and driver. The insider revealed that Julia has a full-time driver and two Bentleys. In addition, she has a Hamptons rental, flies private jets, and stays at the penthouse in luxury hotels. Also, Julia was accused of owning custom Chanel and Gucci and being one of the world’s top spenders at Louis Vuitton.

After being fired as Elite World Group’s CEO, Julia vowed not to leave without a fight. Her attorney, Richard Edlin of Greenberg Traurig, claimed the sack was “unauthorized and of no legal effect.” Richard noted that Julia owns 50 percent of the business and is one of the directors. Her attorney also said, “Unfortunately, this comes at a time when Julia and Silvio are at the beginning of divorce proceedings. Julia will enforce all of her legal rights and remedies.” However, Julia’s fightback did not prevent Silvio from suing her for withdrawing a huge amount from the company. Page Six obtained legal documents that showed Julia made the illegal withdrawal upon receiving notice that the directors of Elite World Group would be voting at the next board meeting on February 11, on a proposal to dismiss her as Chief Executive Officer.

The lawsuit alleged Julia illegally transferred $850,000 from the company’s coffers to Defendant Haart Dynasty LLC, a limited liability company she controls. It also alleged that the transaction occurred almost immediately after Julia was notified of the proposal to dismiss her as Elite World Group’s CEO. In addition to breaching an agreement by taking more than the withdrawal limit of $250,000, Silvio says the company is in “severe financial stress” that is largely due to a vast increase in cost beyond the organization’s budgets.

Although the Unorthodox Life star Julia is not fine with being removed as the CEO at Elite World Group company, her soon-to-be ex-husband Silvio seems to have enough evidence and witnesses against her. If one is to follow Silvio’s words that Julia has been affecting the company with her extravagant spending, the lawsuit filed against her could be justified. Silvio and Julia may find themselves constantly in and out of the court for a while as he is suing her amid their divorce proceedings. However, only future developments will determine the outcome of the estranged couple’s legal battles.
