RHONJ: Why Teresa Giudice’s Brother Is ‘Relieved’ She Met Luis

Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga are in a better place now that she’s divorced from Joe Giudice. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star recently received praise from her younger brother, who expressed how “relieved” he is by her newfound romance with Luis “Louie” Ruelas.

Fans of the show are well aware of the scarred history between the Giudice and Gorga families. Despite growing up together as brother and sister, Teresa and her younger brother, Joe, became at odds after he married his wife, Melissa, and acquired a personal vendetta against Teresa’s ex-husband, Joe Giudice. Over the years that RHONJ has been on the air, viewers have gotten firsthand accounts of their vicious feud that oftentimes turned physical. While Teresa and Joe wanted their families to get along, it seemed almost impossible whenever Joe Giudice was around. Last December, Teresa and Joe Giudice parted ways after twenty years of marriage. She has since moved on with new boyfriend Luis Ruelas and recently took a couple’s Christmas Eve photo with her brother and sister-in-law for the first time in years. Now that the two siblings are back together as a family unit, Joe Gorga is expressing how happy he is to be back in a good place with his older sister.

After the two shared photos from the holiday together, sources close to the Bravo stars say Joe is happy his sister and nieces didn’t spend the holiday alone. “Her brother [Joe Gorga] is relieved that Teresa has met a nice guy. He worried about his sister being alone with the girls,” a source told Hollywood Life. Teresa and Joe Giudice share their four daughters—Gia Giudice, 19, Gabriella, 16, Milania, 14, and Audriana, 11. The girls were unable to be with their dad in Italy and got a chance to spend time with their cousins. Joe and Melissa Gorga share their daughter, Antonia, and two sons, Gio and Joey.  “Christmas Eve was fun for all of them and went really well,” the insider added. Additionally, it was also a chance for the family to get better acquainted with Teresa’s new boyfriend, Luis.

It wasn’t “the first time that Teresa introduced Louie to her daughters,” the insider claimed. “The family has met him on several occasions before and they all like him and are in favor of the relationship so long as it makes Teresa happy. You can tell just how happy he makes her.” It was just last month when Teresa confirmed her romance after being photographed at a football game with the New Jersey businessman. The two reportedly have taken things slow while building their relationship. Luis is a single father of two and has established himself in the area through his various business dealings.

Fans are excited for the new season with hopes of seeing Teresa open up about her new relationship. Joe Giudice has also moved on and recently shared the first photo of his lawyer girlfriend.
