Too Hot To Handle: Is Pleasure Island An Actual Show?

The producers of Too Hot To Handle season 3 aren’t always honest when it comes to luring people onto the show, and this is why viewers want to know the truth about Pleasure Island. THTH season 3 started with ten singles who prefer to engage in meaningless hook-ups, rather than making deeper connections. However, twelve hours into the show, a cone-shaped smart speaker named Lana instilled a sex ban that even included kissing and self-gratification.

During the first episode, the contestants believed that they were on Pleasure Island, a reality dating show where anything and everything was on the table. They thought they were going to have an exciting summer filled with crazy hook-ups. During the day and some of the night, they were free to act how they wanted to, just as if they were truly on Pleasure Island. Unfortunately for them, things took a turn when Lana was introduced and they realized they were actually on Too Hot To Handle. Now, every rule break means that money gets deducted from the 200k prize. The singles are really struggling with the rules.

Despite the catchy name and the booty drop sound effects, Pleasure Island is not a real show. Similar to previous seasons, the cast was tricked into believing that they would be on a sex-filled reality series. This year, producers called that fake show, Pleasure Island. Although there is a show with a similar name, which is called Temptation Island, the rules of that series are different than the faux Pleasure Island regulations.
