Like many games, Visagehas multiple endings players can achieve, allowing them to have an essentially different experience each time they play. In the game, the player character explores a house in which several atrocities have happened. They receive ghostly visions, flashes of the things that once took place in the labyrinthine structure, and must piece together the place’s history and memories. At the same time, they need to find a way to escape the house and the nightmare that takes place inside it. The player can be killed by a number of things in the game, from environmental hazards to ghosts. In one secret, alternate ending, players will need to purposely allow their character to die.

The Void ending is an alternate ending to Visage that players can achieve if they find one of the secrets of the house’s basement. They can find this ending any time, as long as they have access to the basement level of the house. The method of achieving this ending is somewhat disturbing, but it will unlock an achievement for the player on their platform of choice. If players can stomach it, this process can also help them find clues to the location of the VHS Tapes needed for the standard ending. Here’s how to get The Void ending to Visage.

Achieve The Void Alternate Ending in Visage

To get The Void ending, players will need to make their way to the basement of the house. At the bottom of the stairs, when they enter the finished basement, they will notice a haphazardly painted wall. They will need to destroy the wall by interacting with it. They won’t, however, need to have any particular tools on them to do so. Once the wall has been destroyed, the player will find a door to another secret room.

It’s a good idea to save the game here in a separate slot. This way, the player can return to the game after experiencing The Void without losing any progress.

Opening the door will reveal some stairs the player should go down and enter the room at the bottom. Players will recognize this as the room from the game’s introduction. In the center of the room, they will see a table with a revolver.

The player will need to pick up the revolver, turn it toward the camera, and shoot themselves in the head.

In a flash, they will see the location of one of the seven VHS Tapes they need to collect to achieve the standard ending. Then, they will wake up in a pool of blood in a white-tiled room. They can get up and open the door to return to the house.

This process needs to be repeated five more times until all the bullets in the revolver have been fired. Each time, the player will see a new flash with one of the locations to another VHS Tape.

The player needs to go back down the stairs and shoot themselves one more time with the empty revolver. This time, they will wake up at the bottom of the well featured in the Affliction VHS Tape, next to the apple.

To complete the game, the player should walk around in the well, which they will notice is endless in all directions, until the credits roll. Players will receive the Void trophy or achievement on their console or through Steam.
